Troy had asked for divorce many times, but it was always out of anger. He only wanted to intimidate Ayla, to teach her a lesson. He never meant it. Not once. So how could she walk away so firmly?

He couldn’t understand it. He wouldn’t allow it.

Ayla had never seen Troy lose control. She thought she might feel happy seeing him panic, but she didn’t. Not at all.

Instead, she clenched her jaw. “Troy, when your mom and your sister insulted me and pushed me around, you stood there doing nothing. What did you take me for? When you and Skyla wore matching rings, when you took her to a party, and when strangers called her your wife and you didn’t correct them, what did you take me for? You have no right to question why I’m divorcing you.”

She finished, but Troy didn’t move. He still acted like he’d done nothing wrong. Ayla actually laughed. She laughed for several seconds before looking straight at him. “You’re so selfish. So cold. You want me to love you without limits, forgive everything you do, and give you everything you want. But you never gave anything back, not even one simple kind word. No matter how badly you hurt me, you expected me to swallow it alone. And if I showed even a little pain, you mocked me for it.” Her voice stayed calm, but her words hit like a storm. “So here’s the truth. You never cared about my feelings. I was never in your heart. So tell me, what gives you the right to expect me to love you for the rest of my life? Tell me. What right?”

By the end, she wasn’t yelling. She wasn’t angry. She simply wanted an answer that he could never give.

Troy’s chest tightened so hard it felt like he couldn’t breathe.

Ayla stepped closer, her eyes steady. “You want someone who will love you unconditionally? Fine. Go find her. The world is huge; maybe you’ll get lucky. But listen carefully, that person will never be me again.”

With that, she shoved him-hard.

He wasn’t ready for it and actually stumbled back. Ayla didn’t wait. She turned to get in her car. She didn’t want to see his face for even one more second.

But Troy lunged forward like he’d lost his mind, reaching for her again.

Ayla tried to pull away, but before she could, someone grabbed Troy and shoved him back with force. He staggered several steps before he realized who it was. Draven,

Draven was here?

Troy’s lips twisted. Old anger mixed with new rage. He didn’t say a single word. He just launched himself

at Draven.

Troy had wanted to punch him for years but never had a reason and never took the risk.

But now, Draven was here, stepping into something that Troy thought wasn’t his business. Troy wasn’t letting this chance go.

His vision darkened with fury. He swung hard, his fist smashing into Draven’s stomach. Then another

punch shot straight toward Draven’s jaw.

Draven never expected Troy to charge at him like that. Troy’s fist slammed into his stomach with full force. The hit was so heavy that the muscles in Draven’s abdomen tightened and spasmed from the pain.

But Draven didn’t even frown. His face stayed icy cold, his eyes sharp and merciless. Troy swung again, aiming for Draven’s jaw. Draven reacted fast. He dodged and then drove his fist straight into Troy’s lower abdomen.

He didn’t hold back. Troy felt that punch.

The brothers were close in age and build. Their muscles were tense and ready. If they really fought, neither one would walk away

unharmed.

Even this exchange-just two punches back and forth-was vicious. Their eyes said they wanted to tear each other apart. The pressure rolling off them was so strong that no one dared to come close.

Ayla heard the sound of fists cutting through the air and froze in terror.

Her first instinct was to take several steps back. She was scared. If even one of those punches hit her, she’d end up with a concussion.

But these two men took the hits like it was nothing.
