Chapter 60 Bria’s Furious
Ayla didn’t expect that question.
Spoiled people can be a little naive, sometimes obsessing over things no one else cares about.
Bria was like that.
Ayla said, “You don’t like me, I don’t like you. Blocking you seems pretty reasonable to me. What’s the problem?”
Bria was used to Ayla never arguing back.
When Bria was in a bad mood and picked on her, Ayla would just stay quiet and let her vent -never fighting back or arguing.
In Bria’s eyes, Ayla was the perfect punching bag ready to use anytime.
But now? Bria wasn’t just picking a fight; she had an issue she couldn’t let go.
And Ayla was acting like this?
What the hell!
Before, to win Troy over, she would’ve talked nicely and never dared to upset
her!
Now, she didn’t even care about Bria’s mood?
She was completely ignoring Bria?
Bria was shocked and furious. “Ayla, do you know what you’re saying? How can you treat me like this?”
Ayla just looked at her like she was a whining kid-not worth reacting to.
But Bria could throw a tantrum anytime, anywhere.
Ayla still had work to do, and Halle’s situation needed to be sorted out.
If she ignored Bria, she’d only get worse.

So Ayla said, “Then think about the messages you usually send me. If you’re nasty to me, don’t
expect me to be nice to you. I didn’t insult you when you insulted me because I don’t want to waste my time on pointless arguments. But I divorced your brother, so I don’t have to put up with you anymore. Blocking you was my choice. Got it?”

Renee was stunned by how calm Ayla was.
The Ayla Bria talked about sounded like a pushover who wouldn’t talk back when insulted.
But Renee felt that Ayla’s attitude now was more like she didn’t waste energy on a fool.
Even saying one more word would’ve been a waste.
Of course, she couldn’t say that out loud.
Bria didn’t expect Ayla to talk like this and wasn’t ready for it.
She froze for a few seconds, then her face darkened. Gritting her teeth, she said, “Even if someone gets blocked, it should be me blocking you! Not you blocking me while I still want to contact you!”
“That’s your opinion, not mine. Blocking you is just my way of dealing with your random insults. That’s it.”
Bria was so angry, her head felt like it was spinning!
“I’ve explained it. If you still think I’m the problem, then you’re just being unreasonable.”
Then Ayla walked over to the pastry section and started eating.
The dress she was wearing was form-fitting, but since her stomach had been empty, eating a lot wouldn’t show-so she dug in.
Bria watched Ayla walk away. She was furious, ready to flip a table.
Renee held her back. “I’ll get you a private room at a bar later. Order all the drinks you want, smash whatever-it’s on me. But try to hold back a little here, okay?”
“Of course I know! I’m not stupid! I’m not shameless! I won’t make a scene here!”
“Okay, okay, don’t be mad,” Renee said.
“I’m so mad I feel like my chest is going to explode! That bitch! Is she crazy? She’s crazy! This world’s crazy!”
Renee had known Bria since middle school. She knew how Bria acted when she was furious.
When Bria lost control like this, it’ best to just went along with her nonsense.
“Yeah, Ayla’s crazy!”
Sorry, Ayla, I don’t mean it.

Why is half of each of these chapters missing? The story sort of trails off in the middle of the chapter. That’s unfortunate....
