Divorce me I'm done serving you (Ayla) novel Chapter 604

Chapter 604 Are You Blaming Me?

“No way! I’m getting revenge right now!” Melody’s eyes were filled with madness and hatred. “How dare she hit me like that?! My parents have never even touched me. Who does she think she is?!”

Her face twisted as she kept ranting. “I don’t even know her! She beat me half to death! This is all because of that bitch Ayla! She knows Ayla!”

Fabiola had already figured out that the attacker was clearly taking things out on Ayla’s behalf.

Almost every incident somehow revolved around Ayla.

At first, Fabiola had looked down on her and didn’t take her seriously. But over time, she realized Ayla wasn’t weak at all. Her sister was far more formidable than expected.

So, would Ayla come back to fight for the family inheritance?

That was something Fabiola would never allow.

As long as Ayla stayed away from their father, Fabiola could pretend she didn’t exist. But if Ayla crossed that line, Fabiola wouldn’t hold back.

“I’ll help you check who attacked you,” Fabiola said.

Melody complained bitterly, “Then why didn’t you send someone in to save me earlier? D you hear me screaming?”

Fabiola put on a guilty expression. “I couldn’t open the door.”

“You could’ve called for help.”

“Everything happened so fast… Melody, are you blaming me?”

“Not really…”

Fabiola looked sincerely upset. “I promise next time I’ll call for help right away. I won’t let this happen again. I’ll protect you.”

That finally soothed Melody a bit.

Once Fabiola left the ward, a hint of disdain flashed through her eyes. Melody was a complete idiot-hopelessly stupid. But keeping her around made it easier to get information about Ayla.

Fabiola made a call. The surveillance footage was gone. The attacker had erased everything neatly and efficiently.

Still, she remembered the attacker’s face. With the basic info she already had on Ayla, it didn’t take long to identify her.

It was Troy’s sister, Bria.

‘Melody, are you going to do something?” Fabiola asked when she returned.

Melody sneered. “No wonder she backed Ayla…” The more her body hurt, the stronger the hatred in her eyes. “Yes. I want her dead!”

Bria might be young, but she already had the look of a real villain.

But the upper circles in Zheron weren’t easy to mess with. When Bria finally slipped up, Melody would make sure to crush that bitch.

Entertainment could help numb heartbreak, but people couldn’t just waste their lives having fun. Today was Centurion Entertainment’s group dinner.

Ayla went to the bar with Halle.

Shirley happened to be free and joined them.

Bria hadn’t planned to come, but everything that happened left her shaken. Ayla probably wasn’t in a good state, so Bria decided to check on her anyway.

To avoid bothering Ayla, Bria showed up in full disguise-sunglasses and a mask-s into the loud, luxurious private room like a thief.

She hid in a corner, peeking through the crowd at Ayla sitting off to the side. Ayla looked sharp, and stunning. No one could tell she’d just broken up. Like Andrew said, she simply showed less emotion now, which only made her look calmer and more intimidating.

As the boss, Ayla had to speak. She briefly summed up the company’s recent projects and praised each department clearly and professionally. She looked every bit like a CEO.

She was emotionally steady and absolutely flawless.

Bria couldn’t help thinking Ayla was insanely strong.

How could someone be that mentally tough?

While everyone else was having fun, Bria debated whether she should go over and drink with

Ayla. Then their eyes met by accident.

Ayla gestured for her to come over.

Bria froze, then hurried over obediently. She sat stiffly, fidgeting, not knowing where to put her hands. “Ms. Keaton … are you okay?”

“Troy told you everything, didn’t he?”

Bria lowered her head until her chin almost touched her chest. She felt guilty and awkward. “Yeah. I know everything.”

Ayla looked at her quietly.

“I-”

“Can you take off the sunglasses and mask?” Ayla interrupted. “I noticed you the moment you walked in.”

Bria had nothing to say. She removed her disguise.

“Ayla, I was shocked too when I found out. I even yelled at Troy!”

Ayla studied her with a deep, unreadable gaze. “Really? I thought you’d side with him.”

“Usually, yeah. But not this time,” Bria muttered. “Two kids? My brain just couldn’t han I never expected it. Ayla, now that you and Draven broke up, how are you holding up? hurting?”

Her face was full of concern.

“Not very well,” Ayla said calmly, like she was talking business. Somehow, that made Bria feel even worse. She didn’t know what to do. “Then what should we do?”
