Chapter 605 Get Out
“There’s nothing special to do. Life goes on. Just take it day by day.”
Ayla gave off a distant, cool feeling, as if nothing could touch her. But it also felt like she was hiding something deep inside.
Bria wanted to help so badly, but she didn’t know how. There was an invisible wall between them. She couldn’t feel Ayla’s pain or reach her heart, so she had no idea what would actually comfort her.
Ayla poured herself a drink. “Want one? If not, you should go home.”
“I’ll drink with you!” Bria could only stay by Ayla’s side with alcohol.
All she could think was that she should’ve kicked Melody a few more times that day. If she couldn’t help Ayla directly, at least she could secretly get some revenge for her.
When Ayla woke up, only a few people were left in the room.
But she saw Troy.
Ayla frowned. Bria stood off to the side with her head down, while Halle sat next to Ayla, clearly on guard. “Troy, this isn’t a madhouse. Get out, or I’m calling security!”
“Ayla, you’re awake!” Bria noticed right away. She shot Troy a look and rushed to explain. drank too much. Your phone rang, and I picked it up by mistake. I thought it was mine. I to my brother where we were, and … and then he came.”
“Bria, do you seriously have nothing better to do?” Halle snapped, glaring at Bria. “You two came here just to cause trouble? Of all people, you called a lunatic.”
“I didn’t mean to…” Bria muttered.
Ayla didn’t want to see Troy at all. “Get out. Both of you.”
Troy ignored Halle’s insults and kept his eyes on Ayla.
Ever since she found out about the children, she never answered his calls, no matter whose phone he used.
Ayla didn’t usually drink much. When Troy walked in, she was already drunk, lying quietly on

Outside, in the bar’s lounge area, Ayla glanced around at the setup and didn’t look at Troy. “There’s nothing left to discuss about the kids. We’ll deal with it after they’re born.”
Jealousy twisted inside Troy, his voice sharp with irritation.
“You really can’t get over Draven.”
“What does that have to do with you?”
“Ayla, we have two kids. Do you really think you can stay with Draven? Kids need both parents. The best choice for you is to remarry me.”
Ayla laughed coldly and looked him up and down. “I’m giving you a chance to chase me-to see how far you’d go. Not to tell me how to live.”
Troy stood tall and domineering, arrogance written all over his features. He probably never lowered his head to anyone. Even now, trying to win her back, he still wanted control.
He had already thrown her life into chaos. There was no way she’d let him off easily. “You’ve never taken care of anyone, have you? Go buy me a bottle of water.”
“Are you thirsty?” Troy frowned. “I’ll have someone bring it over.”
“I want you to get it yourself,” she said with clear disgust. “You don’t even know how to take care of people. Who would ever like you?”
His gaze darkened as he stared at her. “Ayla, are you messing with me?”
“I’m telling you what kind of man I like,” she replied flatly. “I want someone who listens to me.”
“You-”
“You can’t even handle something this simple. Even a pretty boy would have a better chance of being my next boyfriend than you.”
Anger jammed tight in Troy’s chest. He knew she was taking her anger out on him. He’d always been the one others served. He’d never cared for anyone before. But after thinking it through, he still went to buy the water.

Why is half of each of these chapters missing? The story sort of trails off in the middle of the chapter. That’s unfortunate....
