Divorce me I'm done serving you (Ayla) novel Chapter 69

Chapter 69 Answer

Ayla said, “I have been at Storm Group for almost three years.”

Bria froze like someone cut the sound out of her brain. She never cared what Ayla did before, so the truth hit her hard.

After a moment her shock twisted into pride. She lifted her chin. “I came because Troy has a message for you. You have one day. Quit Storm Group.”

Ayla stayed silent.

Bria saw her calm face and felt even bolder. “This is not a choice. It is an order. You know how bad things are between my brother and that man. You should have quit the second you learned Draven was your boss. You stayed. That means you are challenging Troy.”

Ayla said, “Are you finished?”

Bria hated the cold tone. Her anger jumped fast. “I asked if you heard me.”

“Then you are finished.” Ayla turned and walked away.

Bria stared at her leaving figure like it was some insult that stabbed her pride.

All the rage she held in the whole night burst up her throat.

Draven was already leaving through another hallway. Ayla followed that direction.

When she reached the corner, a cold shiver raced up her spine.

She turned.

Bria stood there with a vicious smile. She threw half a glass of red wine across Ayla’s white gown.

The red spread quick. It soaked the front and the back in seconds.

Bria pointed at her face. “Ayla, I held back the whole night. You kept pushing me, so I had to do this. Remember this. If you dare talk to me like that again, I will hit harder. My brother will deal with you too.”

Ayla breathed slowly. She thought through the mess this could cause. Then she decided she was going to slap Bria anyway.

She lifted her hand. Warmth fell over her shoulders. She froze.

She looked down.

A dark suit jacket had been placed on her shoulders.

She turned her head. Draven stood behind her.

Bria, who had been shouting a second ago, went pale. Her mouth hung open. She looked like she saw a

ghost.

Draven looked at Will.

Will walked over with a new glass of red wine. He held it out to Bria with a soft smile.

He looked polite. Bria felt her knees wobble. Will felt just as frightening as Draven in that moment.

She took the glass without thinking.

She looked at Draven again.

She met his eyes for one second. That was enough. She tore her gaze away and stammered, “I … I am sorry … I… you…

Draven said, “Do you want me to do it?”

Bria’s teeth clenched. Her hand shook as she raised the glass. She dumped the red wine over her own pink gown. The liquid splashed and ran down her dress. She held the empty glass out to Will with both hands. “Here … here you go.

Will took it.

Bria forced a smile that looked like she might cry. “You… you go ahead, I will take my leave now.”

Draven’s face did not change.

Bria’s whole body trembled. She could not handle the pressure for another second. She turned and ran

away.

Renee stood frozen. She grabbed a coat from a guard and hurried after her. She wrapped it around Bria’s shoulders and helped her toward the exit.

They ran to the car.

The door slammed with a heavy thud.

Renee locked it. They drove an entire block before stopping,

Renee asked, “Do you want to tell your brother?”

Bria thought of Draven and nearly burst into tears.

Renee saw everything with her own eyes.

Draven did not shout. He did not move. His presence alone crushed people. No one could talk back to

him.

Renee whispered, “Ayla is incredible. How does she stay that calm around him? I would’ve panicked until I passed out.”
