If this kept dragging on, Phil might find out. The moment Ayla thought about him, a wave of disgust filled her chest. She had no desire at all to let this turn into a scene in front of him.
So in the end, Ayla nodded. "Alright. I'll talk to him and explain."
If Bria hadn't gotten into that situation today, Ayla would've already left after finishing what she came here to do.
Fabiola smiled right away. "My dear sister is so nice."
Ayla felt goosebumps rise all over her arms. Was Fabiola acting out some kind of role? Didn't she realize how cheesy that sounded? No matter what had happened between them before, this was still their first real meeting. With Ayla's personality, there was no way she could suddenly act so friendly. They were just too different.
"Why do you look so disgusted?" Fabiola complained.
Ayla straightened her face and said seriously, "Please behave like a normal person."
Otherwise, she truly didn't know how to handle Fabiola.
Fabiola looked like she was doing it on purpose. "I thought you were cute, so I praised you a bit. How did that turn into you saying I'm weird?"
Ayla realized Fabiola had no shame at all, so she stopped arguing with her.
She reached toward the car door, but Fabiola gave the bodyguard a signal. In an instant, the gentle look she showed Ayla disappeared, replaced by the natural confidence of a proud heiress. "You handle it."
The bodyguard trembled slightly and quickly spoke politely to Ayla, "Ms. Keaton, please allow me."
He hurried to open the door, stepped out, and stood respectfully, motioning for her to exit. The way he treated her was just as respectful as how he treated Fabiola.
Ayla turned to look at Fabiola.
Fabiola smiled again right away. "You're just not used to suddenly having a sister. You'll get used to it soon."
Ayla felt complicated. Fabiola's behavior was far beyond what she expected. Since her first impression was that Fabiola had stolen her client, Ayla thought she'd face constant trouble from her. She never imagined things would turn out like that. It was the complete opposite.
Forget it. She decided to wait and see what happened.
Ayla stepped out first. Draven had already come over to her side. His cold, sharp gaze swept inside the car, then across Ayla and the bodyguard next to her. The bodyguard instantly felt a heavy pressure that made his heart race.
After confirming Ayla was safe, Draven relaxed a little. But his eyes stayed locked on her, as if he didn't want to look away even for a moment.
"Bria is alright now, right?" Ayla already knew Bria was safe, but she still asked.

Why is half of each of these chapters missing? The story sort of trails off in the middle of the chapter. That’s unfortunate....
