Divorce me I'm done serving you (Ayla) novel Chapter 803

Because very few people could live as brazenly as Bria did, sharp-tongued and shameless, slapping everyone in the face without a care.

Being around Bria was never boring. If anything, it was intense, unpredictable, and full of thrills.

Kaleb's sense of order fell apart completely whenever he was with her.

He was drawn to the chaos, the way his rules got shattered, but at the same time, it left him exhausted, without any sense of security.

Bria was like poison. She brought something new and intoxicating into his life, but once it went down, it could kill him. The second he let his guard down, she'd ruin him.

He really was the avoidant type. Especially now that he knew who Bria truly was, that she hurt people, wore them down, never offered anything real, and didn't care about anyone's feelings. Someone like that could never give him the safety he needed.

To protect himself, Kaleb had to stay away from her. Even if every time he saw her, there was still a hidden flicker of happiness buried deep inside him, something he couldn't deny.

He hated her getting close, but he was also afraid of her staying away.

There was no way to put those feelings into words. When he finally spoke, it came out sharp, like thorns. "I can't do anything about you, but don't think you can make me give in. Keep your hands off me."

Bria wasn't scared of him at all. "You think you can control me? Kaleb, I touch you because I have feelings for you. It's a reward."

Kaleb let out a humorless laugh. He didn't bother arguing anymore. "Give me my clothes."

"So you're just gonna walk away after sleeping with me?" Bria slipped out from under him, crossing her arms as she watched him like a show.

Kaleb narrowed his eyes, deliberately avoiding looking below her neck. "You set me up, so I don't owe you anything."

Bria shrugged. "Fine. If you won't take responsibility, I will. You can't just get used by me for nothing. Even if you're a guy, you didn't agree to it, so I'm sure you feel wronged, right? I'll make it up to you. I'll treat you better. But you have to cooperate. Kaleb, you're gonna be my boyfriend."

Kaleb went silent for two seconds, his gaze dark. "How did you manage to pretend for that long?"

Bria looked proud. "That just proves I've got patience. To win you over, I held back, put up with things, and did whatever it took to get close to you and lower your guard. If you hadn't been eavesdropping, I would've already succeeded."

Bria shot back, "That's because when I tried talking to you nicely, you ignored me. I gave you chances. I even went to your company and lowered myself to find you. If you'd just listened to me for a few minutes, things wouldn't have gotten like this. But you didn't give me that chance, so I had no choice but to use more effective methods."

As expected, Bria never reflected on whether she'd done anything wrong. No matter what, she could always find a reason to blame the other person. She was shameless to the extreme. Kaleb knew she'd never truly realize how unbearable her actions were.

"Get me my clothes."

There was no point continuing the argument. Kaleb decided to deal with the immediate problem first.

Bria looked him over a few times and noticed his attitude had softened. She didn't need much of an opening at all. Give her the slightest foothold, and she'd climb right up. She immediately leaned in, wrapping her arms around his neck. "So we're good now?"

Kaleb lowered his eyes to look at her. There was no way they were good. "I just don't want to argue."

Bria didn't care. He hadn't pushed her away, so she got even bolder, pressing him. "Come on, say it. Are we good now or not?"
