“There is a way that is simpler safer, and more effective than any other-dual cultivation with me,” Ashton stated calmly He spoke softly, but his statement went off like a thunderclap in the ears of those present.

Those present, including Eden, snapped their heads toward Ashton. They stared at him in disbelief once they realized they hadn’t misheard him. They couldn’t help but wonder if the man had lost his mind or simply had a death wish.

Eden was the most beautiful woman in Zolane and its strongest expert-the one and only Queen of Zolane. She was a figure no one dared to disrespect so brazenly, yet Ashton had uttered it right to her face.

“Did you hear that, Eden? He’s nothing but a lecher! How could such a base, shameless, person possess any medical skill or cure your chills syndrome? He must be executed at once to serve as an example!

“Lauren brought him here, so she should be punished alongside him! If you don’t act, your authority will be meaningless!” Hera bellowed.

Tobias’ gaze turned cold as he stated solemnly, “If you don’t throw this man out, then I’t consider it a direct insuit to the Heavenly Medical Pavilion and an affront to me. I’ll take my leave this instant, so you’re welcome to seek help elsewhere, Ms. Eden.”

Lauren looked frantic, never imagining Ashton would say something so outrageous. She would have struck him down herself by

now if she hadn’t been the one to bring him here.

She spoke to Ashton through telepathic communication, asking, “What the hell are you saying, Ashton? You’re going to get us both killed here!”

Ashton remained perfectly calm. He had set his sights on sleeping with her once he realized that Eden was his chosen maiden, preferably with her full cooperation. He figured it was better to be upfront about his intentions rather than beat around the bush. Being direct would simply make his task easier.

“You truly have a lot of nerve to bring up dual cultivation!”

Eden’s expression hardened. She met Ashton’s brazen gaze and felt a fresh surge of surprise deep within. She had a vague sense that Ashton was different from others, yet she was unable to describe what that difference was.

Ashton chuckled softly. “I’m just telling the truth. If I engage in dual cultivation with you, it’ll take a toll on me as well. In fact, you’ll owe me a separate consultation fee for the service!”

Upon hearing that, Lauren trembled with nerves. She couldn’t bring herself to look at Eden, wishing more than anything that she hadn’t brought this lunatic into Eden’s presence.

Ashton was speaking as if performing dual cultivation with Eden was a chore he was suffering through, and that he deserved to be paid for it. She couldn’t believe the sheer audacity coming out of Ashton’s mouth.

Throughout Zolane, Eden was the fantasy of every grown man. Had any of them heard what Ashton just said, they would have formed a lynch mob and torn him apart.

Eden’s face turned frosty as the temperature in the room plummeted. She then asked coldly, “What other methods do you have for curing my chills syndrome aside from performing dual cultivation?”

“I do have another method. I can use my Ninefold Arcane Technique to regulate your bloodline and sustain your body with my blood essence to nurture your physical form, which would naturally clear the chills syndrome. It takes much longer, though.

“In my opinion, dual cultivation is superior-it’s immediate and perfectly safe. I’m prepared to endure the strain and make the necessary sacrifices to see it through,” Ashton explained with a smirk.

He looked into Eden’s expressive eyes, feeling the heat of desire burning through his very core
