Divorced and Dominant Now You Cry novel Chapter 1030

Chapter 1030

“It’s pointless to keep someone like him alive. Hurry up and execute him at once, Eden!” Hera urged.

Eden stared intently at Ashton before waving her hand in exhaustion. “Get this man out of here, Lauren.”

“Understood!”

Lauren secretly breathed a sigh of relief. She knew that under the current conditions, sparing Ashton’s life was already considered a massive stroke of luck.

It was then that Eden suddenly spoke to Lauren through telepathic communication, saying, “Get Ashton settled somewhere and make sure he doesn’t leave Zolane. I want to make sure he is accessible at a moment’s notice.”

Lauren was taken aback for a moment. She nodded and replied telepathically, “I’ll see to it.”

“Let’s go, Dr. Gray,” Lauren said helplessly as she looked at Ashton.

She had faith in his medical abilities, but it was obvious that he could no longer remain here, especially given the situation.

Ashton didn’t budge. He looked at Eden and said, “If you refuse my treatment for your chills syndrome today, the price will be far higher the next time we meet, Ms. Eden.”

Eden replied coldly, “I’ll be looking forward to it, then.”

Ashton’s gaze flashed with intensity. He pulled a pre-made talisman from his sleeve, infused it with a drop of his blood essence, and sent it drifting into Eden’s grasp with a flick of energy.

“I made this talisman, Ms. Eden. If you are ever at death’s door, use your energy to light it and cry out, ‘Save me, Master!’ I’ll show up at once.”

Hera and Tobias looked increasingly grim at Ashton’s outrageous claims.

Lauren, on the other hand, was mortified. She wondered how she could have introduced such a madman to Eden, now certain that any trust Eden had in her had been completely destroyed.

Yet, to Lauren’s surprise, Eden actually accepted the talisman without any change in expression. “I’ll do as you say if such a day actually comes. You may leave now, Dr. Gray.”

It wasn’t long before Ashton followed Lauren out of Eden’s residence.

Lauren shot him a murderous look the moment they passed through the main gates, yelling, “Do you have any idea how close you came to getting me killed, Ashton?”

Ashton stated calmly, “You’ll be grateful to me once I’ve saved Eden.”

Lauren furrowed her brow. “You’re quite confident in yourself. You ought to know that even if you truly have miraculous medical skills and can cure Eden’s chills syndrome, it won’t matter if Tobias cures her first.

“You should also keep in mind that Hera is the type to seek revenge for the slightest grievance. You insulted her today, and she won’t let that slide. You’ll be staying by my side until this blows over. Got it?”

Ashton remained noncommittal, merely stating coolly, “Tobias lacks the medical expertise to cure a condition like this. I’ve already mentioned this before-everything Tobias is doing will only lead to Eden’s death.”

“You’re actually telling the truth?” Lauren asked, her expression turning grave.

“I’m naturally telling the truth, which you’ll find out soon enough. I’ve already seen through their plan, so they’ll likely speed things up. We’ll just have to wait and see,” Ashton stated indifferently.

Lauren eyed Ashton suspiciously and said solemnly, “You’d better be honest with me, Ashton. What is your game here? What

ore you really after?”
