Chapter 1046
A second later, Eden’s eyes widened, shock flashing across her face as she muttered, “H-How did he do that?”
“That’s impossible!” Hera suddenly let out a sharp, panicked cry. “We went all out on that strike. How could we not even hurt Ashton? How can his defense be this strong?”
Fear took hold, and her body shook violently.
Tobias drew in ragged breaths, his eyes widening as his heart sank.
“This domain… But what kind of domain could be this powerful?” he asked.
“Huh? This is your limit?” Ashton’s voice was low and eerie, like a grim reaper out of the abyss.
Black flames and lightning cooled around his body. A one-foot Draconic Field spread from his body, blocking every attack before it could reach him. He stood there completely unharmed.
“Since you’ve reached it, you can die now.”
His gaze turned cold. With a flick of his hand, strands of black energy surged upward and formed two massive dark swords in midair. They pulsed with a fierce killing intent, like Lord Ashdrake stirring to life, and locked onto Hera and Tobias’ hearts.
“No! Ashton, don’t kill me. I’ll obey you. Whatever Eden can give you, I can too. I’ll even serve you and do anything you want,” Hera pleaded urgently.
Before she could finish begging, a massive black sword cut through the air and shot straight for her heart with unstoppable force.
Terror seized her. She stumbled back, throwing everything she had into her defenses.
But it was useless. The strike tore through everything in its path, crushing all of Hera’s defenses before driving straight through her heart.
Blood sprayed into the air as Hera let out a desperate, piercing scream. Her body went limp and dropped straight down, slamming into the ground. She lay there, lifeless.
Eden and Lauren looked at Hera’s body in disbelief. Everything happened in a split second, and they didn’t even have time to
react.
“Both his defense and offense are incredibly strong… Ashton really is terrifying,” Eden murmured.
“Ashton, don’t kill me. I can speak to Mr. McGrath and smooth things over between you. But if I die, there’ll be no turning back between you and the Heavenly Medical Pavilion. He will never let you off.”
Tobias panicked. He tried to dodge, but the sword’s power stayed locked on him from above.
“After I kill you, I’ll hold the Heavenly Medical Pavilion accountable. I’ll make sure Callum joins you in hell,” Ashton said coldly.
His focus merged with the momentum of his strike. The sword swept through the air, scattering bursts of light as it drove forward with overwhelming force toward Tobias.
It crushed everything in its path and tore a horrific hole straight through Tobias’s heart. The raging sword power kept surging into his body, wiping out what little life he had left.
“You… How dare you kill me…”
Tobias looked at Ashton in agony, his eyes filled with resentment and regret. If he had known it would come to this, he never would have set foot in Zolane.
In the next moment, he collapsed into a pool of blood as he lay there lifeless.
