“I’ll make you an offer. If you get on your knees and bow in penance, I’ll put this matter behind me and allow you to join the Gale Assembly. What do you say?” Cadence said.

As he studied Ashton, he came up with the idea of recruiting him. The Gale Assembly would undoubtedly reach an even greater height if Ashton joined their ranks.

Harrick and Trent both looked stricken. If Ashton joined the Gale Assembly, they’d be the ones who got sacrificed!

After all, everyone could see just how valuable Ashton was. Someone who became an S–ranked expert even before he turned 30 definitely had a bright future ahead of him.

“You’ll put this matter behind you? What a joke! On the contrary, if you get on your knees and bow in penance to me, I’ll forgive you for being disrespectful to me!” Ashton retorted arrogantly.

In an instant, the 12 B–ranked experts struck at once. In a single–file, snake–like formation, they combined their strength and unleashed an attack filled with murderous intent on Ashton.

The blow struck using their combined strength was equivalent to that of an S–ranked expert!

Louie, who’d been observing in hiding, exhaled in relief before feeling a sense of dread. “I can’t believe the Gale Assembly has already gotten this strong. Thank goodness I didn’t choose to join Ashton, or else, I wouldn’t have made it out of their headquarters alive!”

Meanwhile, Gene clenched his fists, getting ready to join Ashton in this hopeless battle.

However, Ashton pulled Gene behind him before saying mockingly, “Who gave you weaklings the audacity to try and take me down?”

He remained where he was, channeling his inner energy to form a defensive barrier in front of him.

As the two forces clashed, the resulting shockwave ricocheted through the place, the wisps of energy locking together and shrouding everyone’s vision.

“How could this be!” someone shouted. “Even the combined attack of 12 B–ranked experts couldn’t break through Ashton’s defensive barrier. Their attack had bounced back completely!”

Everyone’s gaze turned grim when they realized that Ashton was still standing in the same spot, looking completely unruffled.

Even Cadence was stunned. He didn’t expect Ashton to be this formidable.

“Is it my turn now?” Ashton asked.

As he took a step forward, the intimidating pressure emanating from him made the 12 experts quake uncontrollably. They were hit with an innate sense of terror.

“I call this strike the Lightning Bolt!”

He raised his arm, and electricity seemed to crackle between his fingers. When he curled them into a fist, a bolt of lightning in the form of a dragon shot upward.

“What’s that!”

All the blood drained out of the faces of the 12 B–ranked experts. Terrified, they gathered all of their strength and formed their mightiest defensive formation.

An ear–splitting boom split the air. It felt like the very dimension of space had twisted and contorted around them. Struck by the lightning, the 12 of them were sent flying, spitting out mouthfuls of blood as they did.

With just a single strike, Ashton had destroyed the Serpentine Formation.

As the stench of blood wafted through the air, Ashton took a step forward. Immediately, the members of the Gale Assembly backed away, all filled with horror.

“I’ve already shown mercy by not killing them. So, are you going to hand those two over now, or do I need to crush all of you before you hand them over?”
