Chapter 134
With that, Amelia threw herself at Ashton, unleashing the full force of her desire on him. Her skin was soft and supple, and she radiated boldness, passion, and scorching seduction.
Meanwhile, a whole crowd of customers who’d stepped into Summit Lounge left in disappointment, muttering
curses.
“What the hell is wrong with Summit Lounge? There’s no band, no drinks, no service, and no hostesses. What kind of nightclub is this? Might as well just wind up operations!”
“I heard Evermore Club is absolutely packed. The hosts and hostesses there are top–tier, and they have the finest liquor. Starlight has already performed ten songs in a row there–things are going off! Let’s hurry there!”
“Let’s go! Even a beggar wouldn’t come to Summit Lounge anymore!”
Someone spat on the floor. “It can’t compare to Evermore Club at all!”
On the second floor, Roxy, Anna, and Calvin had hideous looks on their faces. However, they couldn’t do anything at the moment except watch the foot traffic dwindle bit by bit. Everything they’d tried had failed!
“What should we do, Ms. Sloan? If this keeps up, Summit Lounge’s daily losses will be astronomical! Can’t you talk to Mr. Gray and stop this fight? Otherwise, Summit Lounge is finished!” Anna cried.
She was frantic. She just couldn’t understand why Roxy had ended up in such a deadly standoff with Ashton. Didn’t Roxy know how Summit Lounge had risen to prominence back in the day? She was shooting herself in the foot!
“Can you stop bringing Ashton up, Anna? Everything happening at Summit Lounge now is the outcome of him deliberately targeting us!” Calvin gnashed his teeth. “I’ve already thought of a way to save Summit Lounge. Ashton won’t be so smug for long!”
“What’s your idea?” Anna shot him a disdainful look.
She honestly didn’t get why Roxy would choose a man like Calvin, who was all bluster and no substance. Even she wouldn’t give him the time of day!
Calvin smiled. “Don’t worry, Roxy. I’ve already made all the arrangements. I’ll make Evermore Club shut its doors tonight. Once that happens, the customers will naturally return to Summit Lounge!”
“What are you planning?” Roxy raised an eyebrow.
“I’ll tell you after it’s done. For now, just leave Summit Lounge in my hands. I promise I’ll give you a club even more glorious than before! I’ll make the brand–new Summit Lounge my proposal gift to you!” Calvin’s eyes glinted.
He didn’t want to wait any longer. To avoid dragging things out and leading to unwanted changes, he planned to propose to Roxy as soon as possible. He had to win her heart and body completely!
“A proposal?” Roxy was taken aback, clearly not expecting Calvin to bring it up so abruptly. “I’m not ready to start a new marriage yet…”

“Don’t turn me down just yet, Roxy. I know you feel insecure right now, but please have faith in me. I’ll protect you from now on, just like how I’ll protect Summit Lounge!”
He looked tenderly into her eyes. “Just watch me, I’ll make sure you see how I feel about you. I’ll prove that I’m at million times better than Ashton. He can’t hold a candle to me anywhere!”
Roxy gazed at him. He was her first love, and she was ultimately unable to reject him. She said, “Let’s talk after Summit Lounge turns around, then.”
“Relax. I’ll act tonight. Ashton and Evermore Club are both done for! I’ll make Ashton see the consequences of going against me!” Calvin was brimming with confidence.
“What exactly are you up to?” Anna couldn’t shake the feeling that he was up to no good.
Naturally, he had no intention of revealing his plan to her. He’d paid a huge price to prepare for that night’s move. He wouldn’t just destroy Evermore Club–he’d utterly ruin Ashton, too. He was going to bury the latter so deep that he’d never crawl out again!
Back at the private room in Evermore Club, Amelia’s voice was throaty and alluring. “I’ve liked you for a long time, Mr. Gray. One night is all I ask for…”
