At that very moment, Clay let out another howl of agony. Blades of condensed inner energy repeatedly stabbed through his body, leaving him bloody all over.

Ashton’s chilly voice rang out. “I give you three seconds to concede defeat. If you don’t, it won’t be my fault for not holding back any longer. Who knows? I might accidentally crack your skull open. If that happens, well, too bad for you.”

His thirst for blood was palpable.

Clay was instantly covered in goosebumps. He’d sensed the icy bloodlust coming from Ashton. There was a chance that Ashton might seriously kill him!

As Ashton started counting, a sword of inner energy appeared, hovering directly above Clay’s head.

Faced with death, Clay couldn’t cling to his pride any longer. He slumped weakly onto the ground, a blubbering mess as he howled, “I concede! I admit defeat!”

Compared to losing his cultivation resolve, he was even more afraid of dying!

Snorting, Ashton remarked, “Here I was thinking that the future head of the Dominion Vanguard would surely be a man with a backbone. Guess that’s not true after all.”

“I’ve already admitted defeat! Can you let go of me now?” Clay demanded, his eyes blazing with hatred.

“Sure, but if I recall correctly, you wanted to break my arms, yeah?”

“W–What are you trying to do!”

“Nothing much. I’m just giving you a taste of your own medicine.”

With a dark glint in his eyes, Ashton released a blade of inner energy, cleanly breaking both of Clay’s arms.

Clay’s eyes widened as the overwhelming pain rocked through him. Both his arms went limp–crippled in one fell swoop!

How dare Ashton do this to him? He raised his head and met Ashton’s icy gaze. There was no turning back from this conflict. One day, he was going to get back at Ashton a thousand times over!

“Do you hate me? Do you want to kill me?” Ashton asked with a teasing smirk. “Hold onto this feeling, you stupid little future head of the Dominion Vanguard. Hang on tight to it and try to use it to get stronger before challenging me again. I’ll kill you then. Now get the hell out of here!”

With a single kick, Ashton sent Clay flying. His body slammed into the wall. The once proud young man now looked like a pathetic loser.

“Clay!”

Felix shot over to Clay, channeling his inner energy into Clay to keep him alive. He didn’t expect Ashton to actually dare to come this close to killing Clay.

“Let’s go!” he said grimly.

Just before leaving, Clay glared viciously at Ashton. “No one knows when the tides will turn! Ashton Gray, you stole my woman, ruined my cultivation resolve, and trampled on my dignity. I won’t forget this! Sooner or later, I’ll claim your life myself and repay you for the humiliation I suffered today!”

“I’ll be waiting.”
