Clay’s ten fingers clawed at the ground, leaving blood in their wake. He struggled with all his might, to no avail. As he felt Ashton’s foot grinding down on him, Clay’s eyes only became even more bloodshot. Like a defeated dog, his life was now completely at Ashton’s mercy.

“Let go of me at once, Ashton!” Clay roared.

He couldn’t accept the fact that he, who’d never lost a fight in his life before, had suffered such a crushing defeat.

“Let go of you? Why should I?” Ashton asked coldly.

“Because I’m the future head of the Dominion Vanguard!” Clay roared. “My father is the deputy head of the Dom

“And what does that have to do with me?” Ashton questioned mockingly. “Out here in the combat arena, all that matters is determining the victor. No one cares about your background!”

He raised his foot and stomped down hard.

Clay’s head slammed straight into a crack in the arena. Blood flew across his face, streaming down from his wounds and drenching his whole body.

“I’m going to kill you, Ashton!”

Clay was trembling violently. How dare Ashton humiliate him like this!

“You’re going to kill me? Unfortunately, you’re incapable of that. I’m going to ask you one more time. Do you concede defeat?”

Ashton’s voice was ice–cold.

However, Clay’s eyes simply blazed with anger. He refused to admit that he’d lost! Once he did, it would mean that he’d truly been defeated by Ashton. His cultivation resolve would shatter, and Ashton would become his inner demon!

The grim–faced Felix bowed deeply. “We acted thoughtlessly, Mr. Clarkson Senior. Please have mercy on us and let me take Clay away. The Dominion Vanguard will compensate you for this!”

At a time like this, he had no choice but to forego his pride and lower himself by begging for mercy.
