“You’re still here?” Melody shot Ashton a glare.

She pouted as she remembered what had happened between them, and a tangle of complicated emotions made her chest tighten.

Ashton glanced at her, then froze. His Drakell technique suddenly started running on its own again, and the Drakeborne lineage in his blood burned hot.

Melody also had a special constitution!

“Why are you staring at me?”

She laughed. “He hollowed the club out, quietly funneling profits to himself. The new hires he brought in are just useless people who only look good on the surface. That only sped up Summit Lounge’s collapse. It’s a shame -Roxy has been sharp all her life, yet she’s been completely duped. I’d love to see her face when she learns the truth.”

Ashton snorted. Roxy had brought this upon herself, and this was only the beginning. He would see to it that her business empire fell to pieces!

“Should we give Roxy a heads–up?” Sylvia asked.

“Don’t bother. If Summit Lounge falls, we’ll seize the chance to acquire it. Then, we can expand Evermore

Melody frowned as she glanced between the two. She couldn’t shake the sense that the two of them had grown more intimate.

He had noticed more than once the way she sometimes frowned and the fatigue in her expression. It was clear Evermore Group had run into some trouble.

Now that Sylvia was truly his, he couldn’t just stand by. No one could bully his woman!
