Divorced and Dominant Now You Cry novel Chapter 190

Sylvia couldn’t bear the thought of Ashton being humiliated.

Rozy suddenly said, You’d better apologize to Mom, own up to your mistake, and hand over the medication for Mom’s stomach disorder! If you can do that, then we can put an end to this immediately!

Tanya’s eyes instantly gleamed. She thought that this was the perfect chance to force Ashton to surrender the medication, after which she would take her sweet time orchestrating Ashton’s downfall.

You want me to apologize to her and own up to my mistake? You can dream on! You can forget about that medication, as I’ll never give it to her as long as I live! It is her fate to suffer a slow, agonizing death from the pain!Ashton snapped.

Tanya was utterly consumed by rage, her face contorting into a mask of fury. You goodfornothing! Why are you guys still standing there? Get him and beat the hell out of him!

Get him!Henry commanded.

Henry’s men immediately rushed toward Ashton, only to be sent flying by powerful blasts of inner energy.

How dare you make a scene at Auric Night! You obviously have a death wish!

Henry narrowed his eyes dangerously, preparing to signal the experts of the Gale Assembly to step in.

What the hell is going on here?

It was then that Cadence and Millie, drawn by the commotion, emerged together, their faces etched with unmistakable menace.

Henry greeted the arrival of Cadence and Millie with a respectful bow before explaining, That man has insolently crossed an esteemed guest with a gold invitation and even assaulted our security personnel, Mr. Suther and Ms. Hohl! I was just about to send in more people to deal with him.

Ashton looked at Cadence, saying coldly, It’s been a while, Mr. Suther. Your precious Auric Night is certainly full of surprises! You’re not going to have me apprehended and humiliated with ten slaps, too, right?

Upon finally seeing Ashton’s face, Cadence’s eyes went wide with dread, a cold sweat immediately breaking out on his back. He was well aware of Ashton’s devastating, absolute power, after all. GGood evening, Mr. Gray!

He then turned and slapped Henry hard across the face, yelling, Who gave you the right to disrespect my honored guest!

Henry, still reeling from the slap, could only mutter in confusion, HHe only holds a silver invitation, whereas that lady over there holds a gold invitation, Mr. Suther

What do you mean by a gold invitation?

Cadence furrowed his brow. He knew those invitations were strictly limitedreserved only for individuals of supreme importanceand he had no memory of authorizing one for a woman of Tanya’s caliber.

What’s the meaning of this?Cadence questioned, turning his gaze to Millie.

Millie trembled slightly as she looked around in confusion, clearly finding the whole situation bewildering as

well.

I handed over the gold invitation to the Sloans, specifically so Ms. Sloan could attend Auric Night with her husband, Mr. Gray. Why on earth is Mr. Gray here with Ms. Langley, and not with Ms. Sloan

Millie’s eyes darted back and forth between the four figuresTanya, Roxy, Ashton, and Sylviaand she concluded that the whole situation was too convoluted. She couldn’t fathom why Ashton, the soninlaw, would hit Tanya, his own motherinlaw.

Tanya pointed at Ashton, roaring, He actually had the gall to start a fight at Auric Night, Mr. Suther! You absolutely must not let him off lightly! He is not related to the Sloan family in any way, as he is divorced from my daughter!

Millie looked utterly stunned. Hold on! Did I hear that rightMr. Gray and Ms. Sloan are divorced?

That’s right! How could that failure ever measure up to Roxy? He’s just a leech who isn’t qualified to set foot in Auric Night! He hit me, and now he must suffer the consequences!

Tanya, utterly failing to grasp the gravity of the situation, maintained her air of demanding superiority. She was convinced that the Gale Assembly would support her since she held the gold invitation.
