Chapter 201
Ashton’s provocative gesture of tilting Natalie’s chin left the entire crowd dumbfounded. Cadence and Millie were momentarily taken aback as well.
Natalie was a highly esteemed figure, a guest holding a gold invitation, who held immense sway. Her status was such that even the Gale Assembly treaded carefully around her.
“Get your filthy hands off her! You’re courting death here!” Hank bellowed, his gaze brimming with shock and fury.
He moved forward and reached out, intending to shove Ashton aside violently.
Hank didn’t even have a chance to strike before Natalie held him back, saying, “I’m talking to Mr. Gray. What business is it of yours? Get out of the way!”
“That guy is clearly making a move on you, Nat! I was only trying to teach him a lesson on your behalf!” Hank exclaimed, his expression one of utter shock.
He couldn’t help but wonder if Natalie had genuinely taken a liking to a mere pretty face like Ashton.
“Shut your mouth!” Natalie snapped, her gaze chilling as it briefly landed on Hank.
Hank clenched his fists, calling Natalie a contemptible woman under his breath. He then begrudgingly backed off and stood aside.
Natalie tilted her head slightly, letting out a sophisticated, alluring laugh that commanded attention. She then said in a voice carrying a magnetic allure, “You’re still as overbearing as ever, Mr. Gray. It’s time for our
acupuncture treatment, as per our arrangement. I can barely keep the parasitic poison under control any longer!

She realized her health had improved significantly after receiving acupuncture from Ashton. The parasitic poison had remained dormant, sparing her the excruciating torment she had once endured.
She had consulted numerous acclaimed doctors and experts in secret, hoping to free herself from Ashton’s hold, but their methods proved largely ineffective. Thus, she had no choice but to seek out Ashton once more.
“You’d have to beg me, then,” Ashton stated softly, reasoning that achieving absolute control over Natalie required him to first strip away her haughtiness.
“Is this another one of those conditions that must be met without argument, Mr. Gray?” Natalie asked softly. “It isn’t about a condition at all; it’s about getting the right attitude from you,” Ashton said, fixing his gaze on Natalie.
Their gazes locked together, igniting an invisible, palpable friction that crackled between them.
Natalie ultimately backed down. Her initial frigid expression immediately vanished, giving way to the piteous look of a delicate woman. “I can barely resist the parasitic poison anymore, Mr. Gray, so please give me an acupuncture treatment.”
“I couldn’t possibly deny your pleas now, Ms. York. I’ve already arranged a room for us,” Ashton said as he turned and began walking up to the second floor.

Natalie hesitated for a moment before following him upstairs.
“Where are you going, Nat?” Hank asked, sounding somewhat nervous.

He had noticed a jarring 180–degree shift in Natalie’s demeanor ever since her private meeting with Ashton at Evermore Club. She even refused to drink the herbal remedy he offered her in his presence. He grew increasingly suspicious that Natalie was aware he had given her the parasitic poison.
He figured that if that was the case, he had to speed up his plans. He intended to possess the gorgeous Natalie and also take full control of Yorkshore Group. He was committed to making sure that no one could derail this undertaking.
“Who do you think you are to question where I’m going? You should just stay put and wait here until I finish my talk with Mr. Gray!” Natalie stated coldly.
Hank had no choice but to stay put, his eyes harboring a deep, toxic resentment. He raged inwardly, yelling, You fucking tramp! I’m going to make you suffer so much tonight that you’ll be begging for mercy at the end of it! I’ll demonstrate the lethal grip of my parasitic poison, ensuring your life is permanently bound to my command!”
Upon seeing Ashton and Natalie enter the private room on the second floor, Sylvia pursed her lips slightly, knowing that Ashton couldn’t possibly be exclusive to her.
“It seems like I need to take a more assertive approach now,” Sylvia said with a sigh.
She then pondered the delicate art of seduction–the perfect way to captivate Ashton, chaining his desire to her physical presence so that he would be forever captivated.
