Ashton looked completely unfazed. Not too long ago, he’d beaten the hell out of Clay, the almighty future head of the Dominion Vanguard, and stomped him underfoot. If Clay dared disrespect him again, he didn’t mind giving the latter another brutal lesson.
“Honestly, where does your confidence come from?” Sheila scoffed.
“Are you done touching me?” Natalie gritted her teeth.
Ashton chuckled and tilted her chin up with his hand. “We’re just getting started–the night’s still long. Our bet will soon be settled, then you’ll see what I can really do.”
The moment he said that, Natalie’s body heated up even more.
“What’s this bet you two are talking about?” Sheila looked intrigued.
Natalie glared at Ashton. “I’d like to see just how you’re going to deal with the Dominion Vanguard!”
Ten minutes later, a wave of murderous intent swept in like a storm.
“Finally, they’re here!”
Edmund straightened his clothes, immediately catching sight of Clay, who stood in the center. He walked over with his arms open, and they hugged tightly.
“Clay, you finally made it! Someone’s causing trouble in Skybound Boxing, so do me a favor and pin him with charges of provocation and aggravated assault. Make sure he never sees the outside of a cell again!”
Hatred burned in Edmund’s eyes.
“No problem.” Clay smiled. “Once I seize him, I’ll let you handle the rest!‘
“You really are the best buddy I could ask for!”
“We’re practically blood brothers now, so there’s no need to be so polite. Who is it we’re grabbing? I want to see who’s dumb enough to go against my friend. I’ll make sure you get even with them tonight!” Clay said with absolute confidence.
In his life, aside from the beating he’d taken from Ashton last time, he’d never suffered a loss. He’d been stewing on that humiliation and was itching to let loose.
“That’s the guy–some punk named Ashton Gray. He thinks he can match me in power when he doesn’t even know what exactly it is!” Edmund pointed at Ashton as a smug grin spread over his face.
Natalie and Sheila both went pale when they saw the group of vanguards Clay had brought. No matter how good Ashton was in’a fight, crossing an official organization like the Dominion Vanguard would ultimately end badly.
After all, Ashton was alone, and he was up against a powerful organization that was terrifying to the extreme!
“If it really comes down to it, just run,” Natalie whispered, trying to wriggle free from Ashton’s arms.
However, he pressed her down. “What’s the rush? Did I say you could get up?”
“Can’t you read the room?” Natalie snapped, feeling frustrated. Was he addicted to taking advantage of her?

“Ashton, that’s the future head of the Dominion Vanguard, and those men are all vanguards. If you make a move, it changes the stakes. Think this through!” Sheila warned.
“Make a move? I don’t think that’ll be necessary.” Ashton sneered, and his eyes glinted coldly as he stared at Clay,
Their eyes locked, and this moment mirrored the one from before.
Clay shuddered. Against his will, he remembered the humiliation he’d suffered at Lawrence’s villa–how he’d been beaten by Ashton and pinned under his foot.
Now, he’d run into him again!
Clay still hadn’t broken through his bottleneck and stepped into the transcendent realm. He’d yet to gain the power to exact revenge!
He hadn’t forgotten Ashton’s terrifying power and cultivation level. That day had become his nightmare, shattering his cultivation resolve.
Ashton’s face was like a demon’s brand burned into the depths of his mind–those eyes were still as icy and merciless as ever.
Clay shivered uncontrollably as a cold shock shot straight up to the crown of his head. Right now, Ashton was the last person he wanted to meet.
“Clay, arrest him! I’ll provide the evidence if you need it. If Ashton dares to resist, show him just how powerful the Dominion Vanguard is!” Edmund grinned viciously.
