Ashton hooked a finger under Natalie’s chin, bold and unrestrained. She turned her face away, but her heartbeat quickened. “You really want to conquer me that badly?”
“That’s the wager we made,” he said. “And it’s the promise you made to me. You’ve lost yourself to me.”
She flushed, feeling his dominance and pressure. “What if still refuse?”
Her pride wouldn’t let her bow to any man. Yet inexplicably under Ashton’s forceful presence, she felt something she’d never felt before–she was developing a special feeling for him.
Natalie had always been a strong woman, and because of that, she admired strength even more. Ashton had proven his power again and again.
“Then I’ll take your life.” Ashton’s voice turned cold. “It belongs to me.”
His killing intent descended, making Natalie shiver. Only then did she fully grasp that she was as helpless as a rabbit in front of him. He truly dared and had the ability to take her life.
Their eyes met, and invisible sparks collided. In the end, Natalie yielded, her body growing hotter. She suddenly flashed a stunning smile and purred, “Master…”
“Looks like you made the right choice.”
Ashton released her chin. The chill in his eyes faded, replaced by a mad wildfire. “Are we at your place yet?”
“Almost…” She nestled against him like a kept woman.
A few minutes later, she led Ashton into her home.
“Can you get rid of the parasitic poison for me first? I’m not feeling well… Master.”
Natalie spoke in a honeyed voice, tipping her head up to look at him. She wore a delicate and pitiful expression that no one could refuse.
“Get down.” Ashton pointed toward the dining table in the hall.
She obediently arched her lithe body into an S–shape, bracing her hands on the tabletop.
Ashton took several silver needles and inserted them into her acupoints, drawing out the parasitic poison that had
invaded her body.
As he worked, she felt an intense relief. The heaviness lifted, and her body went soft. She couldn’t help letting out a few soft moans.
“There we go. This session’s over.” Ashton flicked his wrist and removed the needles.
Natalie’s body went limp, and she collapsed into his arms. I’m so tired… Can I rest a bit?”
She looped her arms around him and said coyly, “I probably can’t serve you today, Master…”
Her long lashes lowered, and she fell asleep in his embrace
Ashton looked at her and smacked her backside. “Stop pretending to sleep.”
But there was no response. He studied her delicate face for long moment, then scooped her up and carried her to the bedroom. He tossed her onto the bed, and her graceful figure bounced on the soft mattress a couple of times. She merely shifted and kept her eyes closed, still asleep.
“This woman…”

Ashton hesitated for a beat and chose not to force himself on her. He couldn’t wake someone who was pretending to sleep.
Besides, he didn’t just want Natalie’s body. He wanted her completely, body and soul. Anyway, her body really couldn’t handle his roughness that night.
Since she was no longer resistant to his touch and had declared her submission, all that remained was the final
step.
