“You sure are throwing your weight around, Louie. Are you here to stand up for your sugar baby?” Ashton asked coldly as he looked at Louie.

“Mr. Gray, I…” Louie descended into chaos and panic.

He was at a total loss for how to explain the situation. How could things be so coincidental? How could the person bullying Sally turn out to be Ashton?

“Louie, what’s wrong with you? Tell your men to grab him–don’t let him get away! He thinks a little skill makes him untouchable. He didn’t just bully me; he bullied my best friend, too! Don’t let him keep being so cocky. I want him to understand exactly who he’s messed with!”

Sally tottered to Louie in her heels, finally feeling bold. She lifted her chin and pointed straight at Ashton.

The next second, Louie’s face contorted. He spun around and slapped Sally hard across the face, roaring, “You’re completely out of line! How dare you show Mr. Gray such disrespect!”

Louie was livid. This foolish woman had wrecked all his careful planning! With this one move, not only had he failed to get closer to Ashton, but he might also have enraged him. He couldn’t afford the consequences if he fell out with Ashton!

“Louie, why did you hit me? I’m the one who was bullied…”

Tears streamed down Sally’s face. She trembled as she cupped her burning cheek, unable to understand why Louie had struck her. Wasn’t he supposed to stand up for her?

Gritting his teeth, Louie dropped to his knees in front of Ashton. He slapped himself once and said in self- reproach, “Mr. Gray, I failed to keep this foolish woman in line, leading to her offending you. This is all my fault! Please punish me!”

Under the night sky, the sight of Louie kneeling sent a violent shock through Sally. She broke out in a cold sweat, and her legs wouldn’t stop shaking. She stared at him, her face filled with disbelief.

She had thought Louie, her all–powerful sugar daddy, would never bow to anyone. Yet there he was, kneeling to Ashton! What on earth was happening?

Sally swallowed hard. When she looked back at Ashton’s indifferent face, only bone–deep fear remained. Who exactly was this powerful figure she’d provoked?

“Mr. Gray, I was wrong! I know I messed up!” Louie cried. He yanked Sally over and snarled, “Kneel and apologize to Mr. Gray now! Do you even know who he is? He’s the big shot that I wanted you to serve in the future! If he doesn’t forgive you tonight, I’ll pimp you out and make you a prostitute! Believe it!”

He burned with rage. How could Sally be so blind and foolish as to ruin his plan completely?

“What did you say?” Sally stood there at a total loss as fear spread through her heart like wildfire.

Was this a joke? Ashton was the big shot she was supposed to serve? Wouldn’t that make her his woman from now on? If she were handed over to him, her fate would be in his hands.

Upon thinking of the threats she’d hurled at him earlier that night, Sally’s body spasmed with terror.
