Ashton no longer felt anything for Roxy. All he wanted now was to take back everything he’d given her. Whether she was good or bad didn’t matter to him anymore. By giving her this warning, he felt he’d already done more than enough.

“Stop right there!” Roxy was angry now. Her heels clicked sharply as she strode up to him. “I have advice for you, too—don’t get too involved with Sylvia. When your abilities don’t match what you hold, it’s just a tragedy waiting to happen. You two won’t have a good ending.”

Ashton found this laughable. “So what you’re saying is, back when you weren’t good enough for me, I shouldn’t have married you?”

“Ashton Gray! I’m saying this for your own good! Can’t you just live a quiet, stable life after our divorce?” Roxy snapped.

He gave her a cold, sweeping look. “I’ll have that soon enough, but I can’t say the same for you. The closure of Summit Lounge is just the start. Everything you have is going to collapse fast. When that happens, you won’t be in any position to lecture me. I’m looking forward to that day.

“You’re so full of yourself! Do you have any idea how many people you’ve offended already? Keep this up, you’re going to get burned!” she snarled.

Ashton shook his head, done with the conversation. Right now, he just wanted to watch Roxy’s wealth shrink and Summit Group go bankrupt.

“Roxy, what a coincidence…” Just as Roxy was about to say more, Sylvia came out wearing nothing but a light blue nightgown.

She slipped her arms around Ashton, pressing her soft body to his. She smiled sweetly at Roxy. “It’s late, so Ashton and I need to head to bed. You should go home, too. Sweet dreams!”

Roxy’s eyes widened slightly. She could clearly feel the bliss radiating from Sylvia. That kind of glow couldn’t be faked.
