Renee didn’t dwell on the matter and followed Roxy into the resort.

“Roxy, Renee! You’re finally here! Please, come in!” Calvin dressed in a sharp suit, hurried over the moment he saw Roxy and Renee.

He looked excited, but deep in his eyes, a crazed desire burned as he sized up the sisters.

Ever since his return to the country, he’d tried everything to get close to Roxy and win her over. Yet, despite all his efforts, he hadn’t even managed to hold her hand. As for Remee… the brat kept going against him every step of the way and sticking up for Ashton.

Edmund smiled at Roxy and Renee, making no effort to hide the predatory glint in his eyes. He hadn’t slept all night as he stewed over how to get back at Ashton.

He was the Sage’s youngest and favorite son. How could he allow Ashton to humiliate him like that? He wanted Ashton to grovel at his feet and beg for mercy!

“What a lovely pair of sisters. One is sultry and sexy, while the other is pure and cute,” he said with a smile.

Roxy and Renee both looked displeased at those words. They felt extremely uncomfortable under Edmund’s stare.

“Roxy, let’s go. I don’t want to eat with someone this rude, Renee said.

Roxy thought for a moment, then nodded. She walked up to Calvin and forced a smile. “Calvin, I’m sorry you’ve had a bad experience with me lately, but we’re still friends, no matter what. I won’t be staying for dinner. I wish you a smooth journey and a bright future.”

With that, she took Renee by the hand and started for the door.
