Ashton looked down at Hazel and stared into her bright, beautiful eyes. Flint’s cold, indifferent face flashed across her mind, immediately followed by the domineering image of Ashton. Her mental defenses were crumbling
She knew she had lost completely.
All along, she had always believed that Flint’s ruthlessness would never extend to his own daughter, but he had actually sent someone to kill her! Just how cruel and heartless was he?
“You just want to make me submit to you, don’t you, Ashton? I’ll do it, but you have to promise me one thing!” Hazel declared hatefully before biting her lip so hard that it bled.
“What is it?”
“I want you to help me kill the Sage! He doesn’t deserve to be called a father. I want him dead!”
Her voice was dark and trembling with hatred. After tonight, any sense of familial bond she had for Flint was gone, replaced entirely by a long–nurtured sense of resentment.
“It’s a deal,” Ashton promised. “If you want, I can let you kill him yourself.”
Hazel lifted her head to look into Ashton’s dark eyes. She couldn’t fathom him at all. The only thing she knew was that from tonight onward, she was wholly his.
Thinking that, she squeezed her legs together, and her lips quivered. After a long struggle, she finally whispered seductively, “Master, please take good care of your servant from now on…”
The moment she said the word “servant“, she felt drained of all her strength. But at the same time, she secretly felt the joy of having been brought into submission by someone. She felt caught between two extremes.
Stroking her face, Ashton smirked. “Wash up properly tonight and wait for me to come back.”
“Okay…”
Hazel shivered, feeling the heat burning in Ashton’s gaze. She didn’t know what this man would do to her, but she understood one thing–from now on, she was his.
The thought sparked a daring idea in her mind. Perhaps she could try to dominate Ashton in return. If she took the lead in bed…
All at once, a flood of ideas came to her.
Ashton, however, didn’t care what Hazel was thinking. He glanced at Rhonda and said, “Hazel will stay on the second floor, and you, Ms. Lott, will stay on the third floor. Go clean up and get changed. I’ll be back tonight.”
“Where are you going?” Rhonda couldn’t help but ask.
“I’m going to deliver the heads of Burt and his men to the Sage and warn him not to set his sights on you again. After all, you’re mine now,” Ashton declared.
Rhonda stiffened. “You’re trying to provoke the Sage even further? Aren’t you afraid he’ll stop at nothing to kill you? Allow me to remind you that he’s far more powerful than you can ever imagine. Even the death squad is merely a tiny fraction of his true power.
“Besides, he has someone far more powerful backing him up. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to maintain his position as the ruler of Javonbury’s criminal underworld all this time.”

“What’s the matter? Are you scared I’d die?” Ashton asked with a smile as he ripped off half her purple dress and admired the way she looked in this state.
“What are you…”
Rhonda jumped back in alarm. She hadn’t expected Ashton to be this rough with her, yet she didn’t even have the guts to snap at him for it.
Even though he was her enemy, she found herself slowly caving to his domineering ways.
Ashton didn’t go any further. Calmly, he said, “It’s precisely my goal to provoke the Sage. How else will I get him to reveal his weaknesses if I don’t do so? How else can I force him to walk to his own doom? How will I flush out the one who’s backing him up?”
