Chapter 308
Smiling, Ashton said, “You two just need to stay here. I’ll arrange for people to protect you. For the time being, the Sage won’t dare to touch either one of you.”
With that, Ashton walked out. He still had a lot of things left to do tonight.
As they watched his departing figure, Hazel and Rhonda both finally let out the breath they’d been holding, their legs turning weak. The pressure of his presence was simply overwhelming.
They felt like they were serving a king, having to ensure that they didn’t do anything to anger him.
The two women exchanged a glance, then quickly looked away with mutual understanding. Neither wanted to address the humiliating, submissive display they’d put on in front of Ashton earlier.
“I’m going upstairs,” Hazel said, sounding a little flustered.
She had to figure out how she was going to face Ashton when he returned tonight.
Rhonda let out a soft sigh. She had a strong feeling she would never escape Ashton’s grasp and she didn’t seem to be completely against that possibility.
All along, while being with Flint, she never got to enjoy the full pleasure of being a woman. She’d been forced to suppress her desires.
“Just what kind of a man are you, Ashton…”
Rhonda could neither figure out him nor herself.
After stepping out of the villa, Ashton breathed in the stench of blood in the air before getting in touch with Kayla. She quickly showed up with a team of experts.
Everyone, including Kayla, was stunned to see the bodies strewn all around. They also saw Burt’s corpse, who’d died a gruesome death as well. They gulped before eyeing Ashton with even greater respect.
“How… did you do it?”
Kayla had already held Ashton in high regard, but now, she realized she had underestimated his strength after all. He’d slaughtered Burt and 100 of Flint’s death squad assassins without taking a single injury, and he could even be so calm about it afterward.
Just how powerful was he?
She was starting to agree with Lawrence’s decision. Ashton did indeed have what it took to be the deputy head of the Legion.
“I just set up a simple deadly array,” Ashton said as he walked up to Kayla.
Suddenly recalling the bet they’d made, Kayla hurriedly stepped back, her expression stiff.
But it was too late.
Ashton pulled her into his arms and brought her face near his own. Taking in her panicked expression, he asked, Remember our bet? You’re not just spending one night with me now. It’s three. I trust that you won’t go back on your word, Ms. Clarkson.”

Meeting Ashton’s domineering gaze, Kayla huffed. “Let go! Of course I won’t go back on my word! I always keep my promises!
“J–Just tell me when you want to sleep with me. If I’m free at the time, I’ll fulfill my end of the deal. But remember, it’s only for three nights! After those three nights, don’t even think about taking advantage of me again!”
“Three nights is more than enough for you to get addicted,” Ashton said with a grin.
Kayla shoved him away and snapped, “What a perv you are!”
Ashton took in her obviously flustered face and decided not to continue teasing her. “Have your people pack up the heads of Burt and the rest of the death squad. I’m delivering them to the Sage.”
“What did you say?” Kayla looked confused.
“I’m sure the Sage is waiting to hear about the outcome of this attack. Well, I’ll inform him myself,” Ashton said with a chuckle. “I’d like to see what else he has up his sleeve. Just the thought of that already excites me…”
