Jane nestled against him and whispered in a voice only he could hear, “Honey, you absolutely cannot agree to his demands. Ashton is just using Sheila to try to seize control of the Beldon family’s fortune!”

Eyes darkening, Kenneth glanced at Ashton before saying with a smile, “Let’s discuss this later, Dr. Gray.”

“Nope,” Ashton said firmly. “You must do it today–now, in fact. Sign the share transfer agreement to transfer 50 percent of Beldon Group’s shares to Sheila now, and make her the chairperson as well.”

“I have every reason to suspect that this is all a malicious scheme. Sheila and Ashton teamed up to snatch Beldon Group out of your hands!”

“Shelly would never do that,” Kenneth declared, shaking his head.

“You can never truly know a person!” Jane insisted quietly. “Ever since you married me, Sheila has harbored resentment toward us. She has always wanted control of Beldon Group.

“If you hand the company over to her now, will it even remain as Beldon Group? It’ll probably end up becoming Gray Group! Your business empire will fall into the hands of an outsider!”

She continued urging, “Honey, Brad is the only one who can carry on your bloodline. He’s your rightful heir. Beldon Group should go to him!”

Kenneth was still hesitant, but Ashton’s patience had worn thin.

“Do you intend to break your promise, Mr. Beldon? I’ve got other things to do, so hurry up and sign the share transfer agreement.”
