Chapter 352
Roxy stepped forward, pushing aside her lingering suspicions, and pleaded urgently, “You have to help us, Divine Doctor! You see, my mother has been tormented by her stomach disorder every single day!”
She believed that, judging by Nadine’s testimony, the mentor behind the curtain possessed near–miraculous medical skill and could undoubtedly cure Tanya’s stomach disorder. She was more than willing to set aside her pride and beg for his intervention if he truly had such immense capabilities.
“You have to help me, Divine Doctor! I have been tormented so much by my stomach disorder that I can hardly stand the pain any longer, so please show compassion and help me! I’ll be eternally grateful!” Tanya instantly dropped to her knees and pleaded fervently, clinging to the last glimmer of hope.
Eunice couldn’t help but furrow her brow deeply. She distinctly heard a cold, dismissive laugh from the mentor behind the curtain the moment Tanya dropped to her knees. She found it unnervingly familiar. She thought it sounded exactly the same as Ashton’s.
She couldn’t help but wonder if the mysterious man behind the curtain, the one Nadine served, was actually Ashton. But she found it utterly ridiculous, thinking how a man who had been divorced, cast aside, and known for his rigid temper could possess such skills.
In that instant, a burst of wild, dismissive, and delighted laughter rang out from behind the curtain.
That burst of laughter felt like a sharp, humiliating blow to Roxy and Tanya. Their bodies shuddered violently, and their faces twisted into looks of terror and absolute disbelief. They recognized the sound instantly–it was unmistakably Ashton’s.
They abruptly snapped their heads up, their eyes fixed intently on the silhouette behind the curtain, which was rapidly merging with the image of Ashton.
Roxy’s eyes widened uncontrollably, and her delicate frame began to tremble violently. Her face twisted into an expression of absolute horror as a paralyzing fear washed over her, making it nearly impossible for her to remain standing.
She thought that if the mentor was truly Ashton, then everything they had just done–her desperate plea and Tanya’s kneeling–would have become a colossal mockery. They would have endured the most profound humiliation at the hands of the very man they had looked down upon.
She pressed her lips together, stepped forward, and abruptly pulled the curtain aside, her eyes immediately locking onto the man relaxing under Heidi’s massage. That sharply defined face was hauntingly familiar yet alien. It was indeed Ashton.
Roxy’s back was drenched in cold sweat as she locked eyes with Ashton’s profound gaze. She distinctly perceived the mockery, the sarcasm, and the undeniable, dismissive air of superiority he emanated. She realized then that he was looking at her exactly the way she had always looked at him.
“H–How could it be you?” Eunice stammered, staring fixedly at Ashton. She had her suspicions earlier, but now that the truth was laid bare before her, she found it utterly unacceptable.
She found it hard to believe that Nadine would serve a man so utterly lacking in refinement. She was convinced
that there had been some mistake.

How could it be this good for nothing!” Tanya shrieked, her eyes blazing with fury while still in a kneeling position. She realized, to her utter horror, that she had been driven to kneel before Ashton yet again.
Tanya, under the assault of overwhelming rage, coughed up a thick mouthful of blood, her complexion turning ashen she barely managed to stand with Eunice’s support, then glared at Ashton with hatred, yelling, “That good for nothing tricked us, Itoxy! He conspired with Nadine to intentionally humiliate us!”
She recalled her humillating display earlier, her features twisting into a mask of pure rage. She completely abandoned all restraint and shrieked, “Why don’t you just drop dead, you good–for–nothing?”
“How dare you!”
Nadine let out a sharp, cold reprimand alimed squarely at Tanya. “How dare you show such disrespect toward Master Gray, Mrs. Sloan! He is of noble status, not someone you can insult!
“Get out of here, all of you! I refuse to treat a vulgar shrew who insults Master Gray, nor will Master Gray intervene to save you from your stomach disorder!”
