Chapter 386
The fact that Ashton, codenamed the Grim Reaper, was the deputy head of the Legion was a top secret that couldn’t be revealed just yet.
“Understood!” Tybalt and Cesar replied, both swiftly nodding their heads.
“You can get the hell out of sight now,” Ashton said with a flick of his hand, choosing not to kill them.
Their actions didn’t warrant a death penalty, so it sufficed just to teach them a lesson.
“Thank you, Mr. Gray!”
Both Tybalt and Cesar exhaled in relief as they got back on their feet. Their backs were soaked with sweat. The murderous intent that Ashton exuded just now truly made them fear for their lives.
Tybalt’s eyes flickered for a moment before gleaming. He barked at the still–trembling Seth, “Get over here!”
“Grandpa…”
A chill ran down Seth’s spine.
He had never imagined that a petty fit of jealousy on his part could drive his own grandfather to kneel in submission. It was such utter humiliation!
But he still couldn’t figure out why Tybalt did that. Could it be that Ashton would’ve truly dared to kill them?
“Kneel and apologize to Mr. Gray!” Tybalt commanded.
Expression stiffening, Seth protested, “Grandpa, I-”
“I don’t want to hear it! On your knees, now!”
Without bothering to listen to Seth, Tybalt pressed down hard on Seth’s shoulder, forcing him to his knees.
Seth’s knees hit the ground with a loud thud. As he kneeled before Ashton, the overwhelming sense of fear and humiliation swept over him again.
“Apologize!” Tybalt ordered.
Seth wanted to protest again, but when he saw the chilling look in Tybalt’s eyes, it was clear there was no room for discussion. He had to forego his pride and bow his head, saying, “I’m sorry. I was wrong…‘

It seemed to take every ounce of his strength to say those words. This was the most humiliating moment of his
life.
And yet, there was no anger in Seth’s eyes. He’d called upon the most formidable members of his family, and still, Ashton had beaten them all into submission.
He knew he couldn’t compete against Ashton at all.
Ashton cast him a cold, imperious glance before withdrawing his hostility. “Out of consideration for your grandpa and uncle, I’ll spare you this time. But I think you know what’ll happen if I ever find out that you’ve been bothering Martha again.”
Seth kept his head bowed and said with a bitter smile, “I wouldn’t dare get any ideas about Martha again…” After everything that happened tonight, Seth fully accepted that he’d lost to Ashton, who’d made that very clear. “Good. Now leave!” Ashton snapped after putting his arm around Martha’s waist.

“Mr. Gray!” Tybalt hurriedly called out. “My grandson here is reckless and doesn’t think before he acts, but he takes commands very well. Since you don’t have a subordinate to run your errands for you, why don’t you let him be one of your lackeys? He can be trusted with such responsibilities!”
Seth’s eyes widened as he stared at Tybalt in disbelief.
Tybalt doted on him a great deal. He’d made Seth the future heir of the Jensen family and had always expected Seth to live up to that role.
That was why Seth behaved with such reckless arrogance.
But now, Tybalt wanted him, the future head of the family, to be Ashton’s lackey?
What was going on?
Seth stiffened when he suddenly thought of the possibility that Ashton might possess an identity he was unaware of. That was the only reason why the proud Tybalt would readily kneel and beg for mercy, even going so far as to offer him up as a lackey.
Tybalt was trying to create an opportunity for him.
Seth gulped after quickly figuring out the situation. Tybalt was trying to lay out a path for him, but was Ashton really worthy enough to have an heir of one of the Four Powerhouses of Javonbury as his subordinate?
He became even more convinced that Ashton was no ordinary man.
“Forget it. I wouldn’t dare have someone like him as my lackey,” Ashton said, shaking his head.
