All of a sudden, Seth shouted, “Sir!”

His voice was so loud that even Ashton jumped in surprise.

Taking a deep breath, Seth got down on his knees and loudly proclaimed, “From now on, I’ll do whatever you tell me to, even if it means risking my life, sir! I’ll be your most loyal subordinate. I hope you’ll accept me!”

Despite being a frivolous scion, he was no idiot. Having deduced the crux of the situation, he knew what he needed to do.

Hester was completely stupefied. She now felt even more in awe of and terrified of Ashton.

After getting back on his feet, Seth remained standing in front of Ashton, his body slightly bowed. He still had mixed feelings about this.

“I know you’re still reluctant to accept this outcome, but it’s fine. Once you’ve spent enough time as my subordinate, you’ll realize you made the best decision you could ever make,” Ashton remarked.

He stepped closer and placed a hand on Seth’s shoulder. Wisps of powerful inner energy flowed into Seth’s body, coursing through his organs.

Dark flames flickered in Ashton’s eyes as he used his inner energy to forcibly open Seth’s meridians.
