Roxy’s gaze grew ever colder as she stared Ashton down. She growled, “Will you only be satisfied after humiliating my mother?”

Ashton said calmly, “I didn’t see you step up like this when she humiliated my mother and me back then. I’ve laid out my conditions. Whether you accept them is up to you.”

“Fine. I accept!” Roxy drew a deep breath. At this point, she had almost no choice. No matter what, she had to keep Tanya alive first.

As for the shame and the price she had to pay, she would reclaim it from Ashton a hundredfold later!

Then, she dropped to her knees and prostrated herself before Ashton, her voice trembling as she said, “Ashton, I was wrong. Please save me!”

The moment the words left her mouth, a wave of unbearable humiliation crashed over her. But she wanted to live. Only by staying alive could she someday make Ashton experience the same humiliation tenfold!

“I’ll have Samantha’s contract terminated immediately so she’s free to sign with any other agency. Now, both of your conditions are met. Is that good enough for you? It’s time for you to save my mother, isn’t it?” Roxy’s face was frosty, but her eyes blazed with fury.

Ashton couldn’t care less about how she felt. He tossed a pill to Roxy and said flatly, “Tell her to take that. It’ll ease her stomach pain and keep her stable for ten days. After that… It depends on whether she’s tough enough to survive.”

Roxy caught the pill and hurriedly fed it to Tanya. She asked anxiously, “Mom, how do you feel?”

Tanya panted hard after swallowing the pill. The spasms in her body eased, and the stabbing pain in her stomach finally subsided.

“Mom, Ashton saved you,” Renee murmured.

To everyone’s shock, Tanya slapped her across the face. “Shut up! From now on, you’re forbidden from having anything to do with Ashton Gray, you hear me? Go back to your room!”

Ashton’s gaze went cold. He stepped forward, and a cutting, lethal intent bled into the air. How dare the wretch lay a hand on Renee! Did she really think he wouldn’t do anything to her?

“Ashton, I’m fine…” Renee hurriedly stopped him, unwilling to intensify the conflict between him and the Sloans.
