“Mom, Ashton is here! Please just apologize to him and beg him to save you,” Renee urged.
“Ashton? That good–for–nothing is here? Tell him to give me the medication now! I’m dying!” Tanya shrieked, curled up like a shrimp, her face drained of color. She shivered and convulsed while clutching her abdomen.
Ashton’s gaze went cold when he heard that, and he turned to leave without a word. A wretch like her didn’t deserve his help.
“Ashton, don’t go!” Renee ran to stand in his way. “Mom, stop saying these things! Ashton is the only one who can save you right now, and he’s only here for my sake. If he leaves now, you might not even make it through the night!”
Tanya clenched her jaw. Her eyes were full of resentment, but she still chose to shut up. Of course, she wanted Ashton to save her.
“Ashton…” Renee looked at Ashton, at a loss for how to ask him to save Tanya. She knew it was too much to ask.
“She’s almost gone,” Ashton said icily, glancing at Tanya.
Roxy and the others instantly panicked. Their faces turned ashen, and they trembled all over.
“Save me! I don’t want to die!” Tanya was terrified. Raw fear of death took hold in her murky eyes.
“Renee, hurry up and beg Ashton!” Robert cried.
Roxy stood off to the side, her emotions churning
Ashton took in Renee’s conflicted expression and remembered how she’d taken a knife for Celia. If he truly stood by and did nothing, Renee would be heartbroken.
“I’ll do it on two conditions. I can extend Tanya’s life by ten days. In those ten days, you can find other medical masters to keep her alive, but I will never step in to save her again. I’m only making an exception now for Renee’s sake,” he said coldly.
“Only ten days? What happens after that?” Robert asked.
“If no one can save her before the ten days are up, then it’s up to fate. Her time will have run out.” Ashton’s voice was devoid of emotion.
“Fine! Ten days it is. What are your conditions?” Roxy’s gaze was frosty as she looked at Ashton.
She was confident that, with her network and connections, ten days would be more than enough to find a way to keep Tanya alive. She refused to believe that Ashton was the only person in the world who could save her!
“First, I want Tanya to get on her knees, apologize to me, and beg me to save her. Second, I want you to terminate Samantha’s management contract and give her the chance to choose a new agency.” Ashton laid out his terms, a cold smile tugging at his lips.
In truth, given Tanya’s current state, she wasn’t going to die immediately, even though her stomach condition had flared up. She could still hold on for a while. He was just taking the chance to set the terms and get what he wanted at no cost.
This was the perfect opportunity to free Samantha from her management contract. And beyond that, Ashton could humiliate Tanya, making his former mother–in–law taste what real humiliation felt like.
“You good–for–nothing! Don’t even think about it!” Tanya was infuriated. The veins protruded on her face, looking as if they might split.

“In that case, I’m leaving. Wait for death to take you.” Ashton sneered and turned to go, but Roxy stopped him.
