Damian’s lips curled into a vicious grin. He would utterly humiliate Ashton that night and crush his pride and dignity underfoot. It would be even better if he could make Ashton offend the Curios Chamber for good!

Two staff from the Curios Chamber Auction House hurried over. After a glance at Ashton and Damian, one of them spoke in a hard, low voice. “What’s going on?”

Damian said warmly, “Mr. Walker, I’m Damian Payne from the Payne family. My father and I visited you before, remember?”

“Oh, it’s you, Mr. Payne!” Samuel Walker’s face eased into a smile. “What happened here?”

Damian puffed out his chest and pointed at Ashton. He barked, “Mr. Walker, this man has no respect for the Curios Chamber’s rules. He tried to force his way into the auction–he’s clearly up to no good! You must punish him severely!”

“Trying to force his way into the Curios Chamber’s auction? That’s outrageous!” Samuel turned to look at Ashton coldly. He demanded, “Sir, do you have an invitation bearing our official seal?”

Ashton shook his head.

“Guards, seize him! Break both his legs and throw him out of here!” Samuel issued the order without

hesitation.

Damian’s face lit up with joy when he heard that. He said in admiration, “You’re so decisive, Mr. Walker. The Curios Chamber truly lives up to its reputation as a top–tier global powerhouse!”

“Ashton, apologize and leave now!” Eunice arched a delicate brow and said, “The Curios Chamber is not an organization you can afford to cross.”

Roxy’s face frosted over. She didn’t say a word. Once upon a time, she might have tried to talk Ashton out of causing trouble. But now, his life or death had nothing to do with her. All she had left for him was hatred.

Several martial artists employed by the Curios Chamber burst forward to subdue Ashton, but a fierce gust of force blasted them away before they could even touch him.

With a series of heavy thuds, they slammed into the floor, groaning in pain.

Damian was overjoyed to see that and nearly hopped with excitement. He pointed at Ashton and cried, ” How dare you! You seriously don’t know your place, Ashton. Do you have any idea what kind of power the Curios Chamber holds?

“No one has ever dared to run amok and cause a scene here. No one has ever dared lay a hand on their people! You’re not walking out of here alive tonight!”

Already envisioning Ashton’s miserable end, Damian turned to Samuel and said, “Mr. Walker, this man is arrogant and defiant–he’s challenging the Curios Chamber’s authority. He must pay the price!”

Damian was practically preening, convinced he was a genius. He didn’t even need to lift a finger himself to get rid of Ashton. Without Ashton around, he wouldn’t just have Eunice and Roxy wrapped around his finger. Sylvia would be his, too!

No one could challenge him and come out on top!

Roxy shook her head. “Ashton, I told you your arrogance and ignorance would cost you dearly.”

In a flash, a crushing wave of pressure locked onto Ashton. A group of experts surged closer.

Veins bulged on Samuel’s forehead as he snarled, “Ashton Gray, right? If you manage to walk out of the Curios Chamber alive tonight, my head is yours!”

Damian stepped back a couple of paces and smirked. “Eunice, Roxy, let’s move back. We wouldn’t want his filthy blood splashing on us. That would be nasty.”
