Roxy’s gaze shifted slightly as she took in her surroundings. She felt that being at the Curios Chamber auction tonight had broadened her horizons yet again. She knew then that she had to push her abilities to new heights without delay.

Two exquisite women were currently attending to Ashton. He paused briefly when he heard Clay’s furious shout and glanced over.

He then smiled faintly and raised his middle finger toward Clay after realizing that it was an old acquaintance of his; after all, he saw no reason to be intimidated by a man he had already defeated.

Clay was pushed over the edge after spotting Ashton’s middle finger, a violent, murderous intent flaring up around him.

“You need to get a hold of yourself, Clay! You can’t just start a fight at the Curios Chamber! You’ll have plenty of opportunities to deal with Ashton in the future!” Felix said, hurriedly holding Clay back.

Even the Dominion Vanguard was unwilling to provoke the Curios Chamber, whose power extended

worldwide.

“What seems to be the issue, Mr. Jernigan?” Wanda asked, approaching with a faint smile.

Clay felt a surge of desire stir within him at the sight of Wanda in her form–fitting purple dress, her charm throwing his heart into turmoil.

He then demanded, “Why is someone of my standing seated in Private Suite No. 2 while Ashton occupies Private Suite No. 1? You owe me an explanation here, Ms. Shepherd.”

Wanda smiled faintly, replying, “You ought to know that the Curios Chamber naturally has its reasons for the seating arrangements, Mr. Jernigan. You need to have faith in our evaluation criteria; from our perspective, Ashton’s standing is, quite simply, superior to yours.”

“W–What did you just say? How could Ashton’s standing be higher than mine?” Clay demanded, his expression filled with indignation.

Wanda stated calmly, “I believe I have no obligation to explain myself to you, Mr. Jernigan. If you feel like you’ve been slighted, you are more than welcome to leave the Curios Chamber!”

Wanda felt no such obligation to show respect to the future head of the Dominion Vanguard, while others

felt the need to.

Afew minutes later, the Curios Chamber auction officially commenced. It came as a shock to the audience that the moderator was none other than Wanda herself, the head of the Curios Chamber in Javonbury.

“Welcome to the Curios Chamber auction! I’ll keep the chatter to a minimum, as per our tradition, and get straight to the auction! We will now begin the bidding for our first item–a top–grade Rejuvenation Pill with an opening price of one million dollars!”

Wanda, standing at the center of the stage in her purple form–fitting dress, beamed radiantly. She opened the bottle containing the pill, releasing a rich medicinal aroma. Meanwhile, the intricate patterns on the pill were displayed on the giant screens for all to see.

In that instant, a deathly hush descended upon the auction hall before everyone burst into a chorus of shocked exclamations.

“It’s an actual top–grade pill! It carries both a fragrance and intricate markings! It actually transcends the standard for top grade. I wonder what sort of legendary figure refined this; their skill is simply peerless!”

In that instant, a chorus of bids erupted, echoing through the hall in rapid succession.

She glanced up at Ashton, who was sitting in Private Suite No. 1, and muttered to herself, “I’ll never have to beg you for anything again once I obtain this Rejuvenation Pill and cure Mom’s stomach disorder, Ashton. You’ll be absolutely worthless to me then.”
