Wanda was a vision of breathtaking grace, her purple, form–fitting dress clinging to her body and highlighting every perfect curve. She carried the air of a classic femme fatale, her beauty surging forward like a tidal wave.
Wanda’s alluring crimson lips and captivating smile proved to be a formidable distraction, even for someone as disciplined as Ashton.
Ashton took a deep breath to steady himself and, with difficulty, shifted his gaze away from Wanda’s figure. He looked at her with a genuinely shocked expression and asked, “You’re not actually planning to just give me the Compendium of Special Constitutions as a gift, right, Wanda?”
“You’re so sharp, Ashton!” Wanda exclaimed with a captivating smile as she handed over the Compendium of Special Constitutions to Ashton.
“I’m giving it to you for free since you wanted this so badly, Ashton. You don’t have to spend a penny, and more importantly, no one will be able to take it from you now! How’s that for a thank–you gift? Do you feel moved by this gesture, Ashton?”
Upon receiving the Compendium of Special Constitutions, Ashton noted its cold surface, sending a jolt through his system. He couldn’t help but feel a surge of genuine excitement despite his usual composure, as this was truly a stunning turn of events.
He couldn’t wrap his head around it. Wanda had just handed him a treasure worth 110 million dollars for free. He wondered whether he was truly that irresistible and whether Wanda’s power within the Curios Chamber was even greater than he had imagined.
Ashton’s expression turned solemn. “Your gift is far too precious, Wanda. You probably don’t have the authority to do something like this, based on the regulations of the Curios Chamber, right?”
He was worried that Wanda would face severe punishment from the Curios Chamber headquarters for her
actions.
Wanda chuckled softly, casting a flirtatious glance at Ashton. “I’m genuinely touched that you’re so worried for me, Ashton. You can rest assured and keep what I’ve given you without any fear of
consequences.
“Your worth to us is far greater than that of the Compendium of Special Constitutions, after all! You ought to know there’s no need to worry about me getting into trouble, since this was an internal decision by the Curios Chamber. You, however, have to make sure to concoct plenty of those top–grade pills for me later.”
Ashton’s heart hammered against his chest. Wanda’s every movement and gesture exuded temptation and charm, making his Drakell technique stir with anticipation.
“Thank you, Wanda,” Ashton said earnestly. He made a mental note of this favor and became determined to repay her kindness tenfold when the time was right.
In the meantime, all eyes were on Wanda as she handed over the Compendium of Special Constitutions to Ashton for free, the entire assembly within the Curios Chamber nearly reaching a boiling point.
“It’s absolute madness here! It’s way more insane than the Compendium of Special Constitutions selling for 100 million dollars! I mean, when did the Curios Chamber get so generous that they’d just give away a

treasure worth 100 million dollars for free? Isn’t this going too far?”
“I’m totally floored! What kind of identity and background does Ashton have that he can make Wanda favor him so much?”
“Isn’t he Wanda’s lover? I mean, just look at the way they look at each other! I’m pretty sure something is going on between them!”
“I can accept anything but that! Wanda is my ultimate dream woman–she’s the only perfect, mature beauty in Javonbury! I won’t stand for anyone else claiming her if I can’t! I actually feel like I’ve been stabbed in the heart every time I pictured Wanda with Ashton!”
“Clay is probably the one who’s actually crashing out right now. He was in a heated standoff with Ashton, and then Wanda just handed it over to Ashton. That’s a point–blank ultimate right to the face! How is anyone supposed to recover from that kind of public humiliation?”
“It wasn’t just Clay getting wrecked; Damian, the most distinguished scion of Javonbury, got completely clowned on too. I mean, you should’ve seen them; their faces were practically livid!”
Their voices grew louder and louder, leaving the auction venue simmering with excitement.
“Who does Ashton think he is?” Clay’s face twisted into a mask of pure malice. He was fuming, a storm of rage brewing inside him.
The sight of Ashton and Wanda’s intimate exchange was a bitter pill to swallow. It felt as though his very honor was being dragged through the mud and crushed beneath their heels.
“It’s not the time for you to act recklessly, Clay! I’m sure something is going on between Ashton and Wanda. In addition, Ashton himself is far from simple, Clay!” Felix warned, his expression growing grave.
If Ashton was backed by the Curious Chamber and had Lawrence–that old bastard from the Legion- watching his six, taking him down was going to be a nightmare, and for Clay, the implications were disastrous.
Clay’s cultivation resolve was in ruins after his previous defeat. He required a decisive victory over Ashton- and Ashton’s death–to reset his foundation and advance to the divine realm. He would remain stagnant forever if he failed to do so.
He would lack the qualifications to lead the Dominion Vanguard without that power, turning his status as heir apparent into a public embarrassment.
Felix, being Clay’s cultivation guardian, felt a crushing weight settle upon his shoulders. He had a sinking feeling in his gut that Clay was out of his league. He hadn’t just picked a fight with Ashton–he had chosen the wrong man to make an enemy of.
