Wanda blushed furiously as she flashed Ashton a sharp, yet playful glare. “You’ve finally learned how to tease me, huh? Is it possible that you’re harboring other thoughts about me, Ashton?”

They could feel each other’s heated breath against each other as soon as she said that, causing the atmosphere between them to thicken with a subtle, suggestive tension.

“I doubt any man with a pulse could look at a woman as alluring as you and not have a few ‘ideas,‘ Wanda,‘ Ashton explained, admiring how flawlessly Wanda carried herself. She was the perfect example of a mature beauty–flawless skin and mesmerizing charm that made her impossible to forget.

Wanda blushed slightly, saying, “You’d better work hard then, Ashton. You see, I might just find myself falling for you if you continue to impress me.”

She had no objection to the flirtatious tension with Ashton. She found the mutual attraction quite pleasant and felt no desire to pull away.

“I’m fine with that, but…” Ashton trailed off, closing the distance with Wanda. He then continued with a smile, “You’ve given me such an incredible gift today, Wanda. How am I supposed to pay you back for that?”

“Why don’t you tell me, Ashton?”

“You’re quite the joker, Ashton,” Wanda said with a melodious chuckle.

She paused for a moment before adding, “If you’re serious about thanking me, find some time to go somewhere with me. I need you to take a look at my best friend and figure out what’s wrong with her, Ashton.”

“What happened to your best friend?” Ashton asked curiously.

Wanda let out a weary sigh at the mention of her friend. “Have you heard of the rumors regarding the most beautiful woman in Javonbury?”

Ashton was momentarily stunned. He knew that Elise was the most beautiful woman in Javonbury back then- and she was already his. He hadn’t bothered to keep up with who had claimed the crown since then, as he had always found that kind of gossip to be a total waste of his time.

Wanda chuckled softly, her eyes sweeping over Ashton. “Faye Moore is the most beautiful woman in Javonbury. Her father is George Moore, the wealthiest man in Javonbury.

“She, however, had tragically been in a coma for an entire now, and she could take her last breath at any moment since her life is basically hanging by a thread.”

“Is Faye more beautiful than you, Wanda?” Ashton asked with great interest.

Wanda nodded, replying, “Faye is indeed more beautiful than I am. She’s the total package–flawless in every way, even from a woman’s perspective–so much so that I’d definitely be going all out to pursue her if I were a man!”

“Isn’t that a bit of an overstatement, Wanda?”

Ashton remained noncommittal.

Wanda chuckled softly before saying, “You’ll definitely fall for Faye once you lay your eyes on her, Ashton. You should come with me someday to check on Faye as a repayment for tonight. You might just be the one to bring her back from the brink and save her life with your incredible skills, Ashton!”
