The strength of an SS–ranked expert was equivalent to that of a supreme grandmaster!

Hector wasn’t the only one thunderstruck this time. Even Kayla looked shocked. If Ashton truly was an SS–ranked expert, then he had to be one of the finest among men. Considering his abilities, he would receive a grand welcome no matter where he went!

“Grandpa, don’t tell me you’re thinking of recruiting Ashton into the Legion?” Kayla said.

Lawrence didn’t answer. After a brief silence, he said, “It seems I need to meet this Ashton in person.”

Hector was stunned. Lawrence was the head of the organization, but he wanted to personally invite Ashton to join the Legion?

Meanwhile, over at the Paradise Estate, Walter was still awake, waiting for news regarding the situation over at the East Port.

“Dad!” Louie cried out as he came rushing over. “According to reliable sources, the entire Wraiths organization has been wiped out–every last one of them slaughtered!”

Walter’s eyes gleamed. “Are you sure?”

“I’m positive!”

“Ashton truly is a formidable man…” Walter remarked with a sigh before asking Louie a question. “I heard you’ve been keeping quite a few women.”

“Huh? Dad… Don’t listen to the nonsense other people tell you!”

“There’s one by the name of Sally Greene. I heard you’ve spent over ten million dollars on her, right? Give her to Ashton. She can be his maid!”

“Is that really necessary, Dad?” Louie protested. “No matter how strong Ashton is, he’s still just one man. In this day and age, power and influence matter more!”

“What? You can’t spare a woman?” Walter rebuked Louie. “If we’re going to give him someone, we need to give him the best! Don’t tell me you still don’t understand that logic after working with me for all these years.

“If that’s the case, how am I supposed to rest easy after leaving the Holt Crew in your hands when I’m gone?”

“I know what I need to do, Dad,” Louie replied.

Over at the Langley residence in Lakeview Heights, Sylvia approached Ashton from behind. She put her hands on his shoulders and gently massaged them while asking in an intoxicating voice, “Will tonight’s incident cause further trouble for you, Ashton?”

She could see the tension in his eyes.

“There’s a small problem, but it won’t be a big deal.”

Ashton knew he wouldn’t be able to hide the fact that he was the one who took down the Wraiths from the Legion. Considering what the Obsidian Council was capable of, sooner or later, they would find out that he was the one

who killed Erasmus.

There was no way for him to live a peaceful life anymore.

“Sylvia! Why are you giving him a massage? No man is worthy of you serving him like that! Look at Roxy. She scorns him in every way because she knows he’s worthless cum!” Melody protested in displeasure.

She couldn’t resist jumping in when she saw Sylvia, the older sister whom she respected greatly, waiting on Ashton like that. To make matters worse, he accepted such reatment without any qualms!

Melody’s disdain for Ashton intensified. Did he cast some kind of spell on Sylvia? He was nothing more than a loser that Roxy had kicked out of the house!

“Melody! Have you forgotten what you promised me?” Sylva snapped warningly. “If you ever speak this rudely again, you can forget about staying here!”

“Yes, yes, I got it! All he did was save you once by coincidence. How freaking shameless of him to use that to guilt- trip you into doing all this for him…”

“Melody!”

“Fine! I’ll stop talking!”

Melody huffed, more determined than ever to drive Ashton away. She couldn’t let Sylvia fall into his hands like that. She had to make sure Sylvia saw Ashton’s real nature so that Sylvia would finally stop liking him.

She muttered to herself, “Once Sylvia leaves for work tomorrow, I’ll seduce Ashton! There’s no way he won’t take the bait!”

Melody began considering how she was going to seduce him.

“I’ve already installed the hidden cameras. Just you wait, Ashton!”

She decided to put her plan into action first thing tomorrow morning.

It was already late at night. Soon after Ashton returned to his room, he saw a nervous Sylvia opening his door. She smelled faintly of perfume and was wearing a silk robe.
