Chapter 551
Blades glinted murderously as the flag of the Northern Troops billowed in the wind.
Kendrick’s severed head hung from the flagpole, fresh blood trickling onto the ground. The sound of blood dripping was stark against the backdrop.
Ashton gripped his long sword. Leon and Sally flanked his sides as they led Neil and the Northern Troops straight toward Worsley Manor.
This death–sentencing manhunt shall continue!
News of the Zamoras‘ downfall, Kendrick’s death, and the capture of his parents spread like wildfire through every major circle. The stench of bloodshed hung heavily in the night air.
“This is insane! Mr. Zamora has been killed! His head is hanging off the flag of the Northern Troops!”
Every group chat was immediately bombarded by all kinds of messages.
“Is this real? Who could be so ruthless? The Zamoras are practically royalty in Javonbury. Whoever did this must have a death wish!”
“It’s definitely real! Someone saw Kendrick’s severed head with their own eyes. It was the Legion who did it, under their deputy head, Lord Reaper’s orders. The person who killed Kendrick is the newest legionnaire, Ashton Gray!”
“Does this mean something big is about to happen in Javonbury?”
“I thought the Legion had since fallen from power. Shouldn’t they be burying their heads in the sand instead of acting like a bunch of lunatics? If they keep this up, they’ll offend Javonbury’s entire web of interests. Aren’t they afraid of backlash? When it happens, their downfall will be inevitable!”
“Who knows? This could be their last–ditch effort. That newly appointed deputy head, Lord Reaper, sure lives up to his name. He’s just too cruel! I wonder if the Worsleys will be able to handle this death sentence by the Legion.”
“Ashton holds the Legion’s sigil. It’ll be as though Mr. Clarkson Senior himself is there, killing without caring about any consequences. The Worsleys are in serious trouble!”
“I don’t think it’ll be that simple. The Worsleys are notorious for their expertise in the martial arts here in Javonbury. Not only are they superior when it comes to numbers, but they also have a SSS–ranked transcendent realm expert in–house!
“Ashton’s one hundred or so Northern Troops may not be enough to destroy the Worsleys. And, if they fail this time, their reputation would surely suffer a devastating blow.”
“Enough said, let’s go have a look! This is going to be huge!”
With that, the group of elites rushed over to Worsley Manor, chills running down their spine, eager to witness the Legion’s next moves. Would Ashton and his long sword be able to execute this manhunt?
Whatever happened that night could very well change the balance of power in Javonbury.
“We’re here,” Neil muttered, casting a glance at Ashton.
Ashton sneered. His gaze swept across the surroundings. “We’ve got quite a crowd here, don’t we?”
“This might be too big a commotion,” Neil couldn’t help but warn.
If Ashton had moved swiftly and struck decisively, things could well still be under control. Instead, he chose to make this into his personal game of manhunt, allowing those brats to prepare for his arrival and march so openly toward Worsley Manor.
It was clear he intended to make as big a scene as he possibly could.

“Mr. Bloomberg, I want everyone to watch as I end those pathetic, damned scions.” Ashton chuckled derisively.
“This is too dangerous!” Neil frowned. He disagreed with Ashton’s approach–it was too ostentatious. They would create too many enemies, and one misstep could lead to total annihilation.
At this stage, however, there was no room left for retreat. Everyone already knew of their plans.
“Too dangerous? Spare me. Either you act, or you don’t. I’m done negotiating here.”
Ashton raised his long sword and pointed it at Worsley Manor. His voice boomed like thunder.
“Willa Worsley has committed a capital offense. Her execution begins now. Anyone who stands in the way will face serious repercussions. Now, hand her over, or be killed without mercy!”
“Kill without mercy!”
“Kill without mercy!”
