Chapter 550
Threads of cutting wind howled, flinging Gordon clean off his feet. Ashton said coldly, “Don’t waste my time with this crap. I’m in a hurry tonight, so I’m not interested in your rubbish.”
“How dare you! You” Gordon started.
“How dare I?” Ashton let out an icy laugh. “I bear the Legion’s Sigil. I have the right to kill first and report later; 1 bear the duty to judge evil. Does that tell you why I dare do what I’m doing? Why don’t you ask your precious son how he dared to commit such unforgivable sins?”
He held out a hand and spread his palm. Neil immediately understood and passed him a long blade.
Ashton stepped forward with the blade. It glinted coldly as he pressed it to Kendrick’s neck. As he looked down at Kendrick and saw how violently he was trembling, he said coldly, “I wonder how I should punish you to make you feel like you’re in hell on earth.”
The words had barely fallen when Ashton flicked the blade and carved a slab of flesh off Kendrick’s side.
Kendrick howled like an anguished beast and curled up on the ground, scrabbling backward with his legs. He sobbed and screamed, “Mom, Dad, save me! I don’t want to die!”
“How dare you hurt my baby boy!” Kendrick’s mother lunged at Ashton like a madwoman, ready to fight him to
the death.
Ashton kicked her squarely, sending her flying. His voice stayed frosty. “It’s because of your overindulgence that your son has turned out to be a piece of trash. You won’t escape judgment, either!”
He closed in on Kendrick, the killing intent rolling off him.
Under that terrifying pressure, Gordon didn’t dare say anything or get close anymore. He was genuinely afraid Ashton would swing that blade and take his head. All he could do was scramble to spread the word as fast as possible so that help would come.
“Ashton, I was wrong! I swear I know I made mistakes! Spare me—I’ll never do it again!” Kendrick shouted.
With a flash of cold light, yet another strip of flesh fell from Kendrick’s body.
Ashton’s voice was devoid of emotion when he spoke. “Have you really seen the error of your ways? No. You only know you’re about to die.”
“No! I swear I’ve learned my lesson! I’ll turn my life around, and I-”
Another slab of flesh hit the floor.
Ashton said impassively, sounding like he was a true grim reaper. “So what if you’ve learned your lesson? Will the couple you killed come back to life? Will their unborn child, who never got a chance to see this world, be revived?
“The only thing you can do now is scream. Scream from the depths of despair. Use your unbearable pain and suffering to pay for their lives.”
He kept working the cold blade, torturing Kendrick. He only stopped when the latter was on his last breath. The

floor was now covered in blood.
It was a horrific sight.
Ashton brought the blade down one last time, and Kendrick’s head hit the floor. His eyes were wide open and packed with despair and agony.
“Bag the head. We’re going to Willa Worsley’s house. She likes to disfigure others, right? I’ll make sure she gets a taste of that tenfold.” Ashton grinned savagely. The violence in his eyes kept growing.
Sally’s hands and feet had gone ice–cold. It was only then that she truly understood who exactly Louie had given her to. Ashton was a storm of killing intent and overwhelmingly ruthless, yet he somehow brimmed with a dangerous allure that could pull others in.
Meanwhile, Leon was stunned. His heart pounded wildly from following Ashton and watching him behead Kendrick. The dead calm in his eyes gave way to life and light; his gaze was filled with pure worship as he looked
