Seconds later, Ashton’s gaze locked with Ronan’s, the deputy head of the Dominion Vanguard. Their murderous intent collided as the distance between them shrank to less than five yards.

Ashton sneered, his eyes shifting to focus on Niall and the group of degenerate scions cowering behind Ronan and Kristoff.

The scions were still dressed impeccably, and their arrogance was barely restrained. Hatred burned in their eyes as they glared at Ashton.

Ronan stepped forward, closing the distance with Ashton once more. Staring into Ashton’s penetrating eyes, he said coldly, ” The Wagner family is a key partner of the Dominion Vanguard. What is the meaning of you bringing a group of Northern Troops to cause trouble at the Wagner residence?”

“Niall and his group have committed a capital offense,” Ashton said. “I’ve come to pass death judgment on them and take their heads to hang on flags as a warning to the world. Mr. Hopper, please step aside. Don’t get in the way.”

He sneered openly. Even facing the pressure of a semi–divine realm expert, he showed no fear. His tone carried undisguised mockery.

“Who are you to declare what constitutes a capital offense?” Ronan snorted coldly.

He went on, “As for what Niall and his group did, there’s no need for the Legion to trouble itself. We will conduct our own investigation. If they are found guilty, we will pass judgment.

“As for tonight, we have important matters to discuss. I must ask you and your men to return whence you came. Do not stir up disorder here.”

With those words, Ronan casually dismissed the crimes of Niall and his group. He clearly had no intention of pursuing the matter or allowing the Legion to pursue the matter further.

An uproar immediately swept through the crowd.

Many clenched their fists in frustration. Everyone understood what this meant. If the Legion left tonight, no one would ever pass judgment on these bastards like Niall again. It was obvious the Dominion Vanguard intended to protect them.
