Chapter 61
Ashton gave Sally a proper once–over. He had to admit she was a great beauty. It was such a shame she was all looks and no brains. What a waste of her stellar appearance
Sally’s eyebrows shot up. She didn’t understand what Ashton’s question meant, but she screeched, “It would do you good to know your place, Ashton!
“Anyway, I’ve said what I wanted to say. I’m giving you three days. If I find out that you haven’t moved out of the Langley residence by then, I won’t be showing you any more courtesy! Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
With that, she turned her back on him and sauntered off arrogantly, her heels clacking on the ground and her hips swaying with every step.
“How utterly bewildering…”
Ashton ignored Sally completely. He paused in thought for a moment before ultimately deciding not to leave immediately. Instead, he found himself a quiet spot and proceeded with his martial arts cultivation.
After all, he had promised Sylvia that he would keep an eye on Melody. He couldn’t just stand by and let Melody be taken advantage of by someone like Trent.
But that would be the last time. Tonight, he would make everything clear to Sylvia. He would even move out of the house if necessary.
“I’m about to attain complete mastery of the transcendent realm. Now that I’ve achieved a state of inner fulfillment, it’s a lot easier for me to surpass the thresholds that once felt impossible to break through.”
Using the Cosmic Breathing Technique, which he’d practiced since he was a kid, he took deep, calculated breaths to hone the inner energy within his body.
Meanwhile, back inside the club, Melody was a lot less keen to stick around, now that Ashton was gone. She would’ve left by now if Trent didn’t keep trying to convince her to stay.
As time passed, she started feeling the temperature of her body rising.
Trent’s heart leaped with glee when he noticed that Melody s breathing was steadily getting heavier. He gave one of the guys, Erwin Neely, a look.
Having gotten the hint, Erwin scooted over to Connie and Jett, saying, “Let’s go. Trent prepared a surprise for Melody. He plans on confessing his feelings to her today. We shouldn’t stick around to get in their way. Let’s give them some space!”
“Trent wants to confess to Melody?”
“That’s right. Once he succeeds, he says he’ll give us all at least 200 thousand dollars to reward us for our cooperation, so we shouldn’t ruin his plan.”
Connie’s and Jett’s eyes gleamed when they heard about the money. Although they came from well–to–do backgrounds, they didn’t get all that much in allowance each month.
“A confession is a major event. We mustn’t disturb Trent. It’s let him and Melody have the room to themselves.” “Come, let’s head off to the next club! We can wait to hear the good news from Trent tomorrow!”
Erwin was able to sneak off with Connie and Jett, locking the door behind him. Trent and Melody were now alone in the room.

He grinned smugly, pleased that the plan had proceeded smoothly. Trent had promised to make it worth his while once the deed was done.
“I feel so warm…”
Without her realizing it, Melody’s gaze was starting to get little hazy. She felt like ants were crawling all over her, and an uncontrollable sense of desire began to rise wit in her.
She tugged on her clothes and shook her head hard. It was only then that she realized she and Trent were alone in
the room.
“Where’s everyone else?” she asked. Her throat was dry, and she kept her legs crossed tightly.
“Oh, they had things to do, so they took off first.”
Trent downed his shot of liquor before staring hungrily at Melody’s gorgeous figure. He could barely contain his excitement any longer. He was already fantasizing about getting her naked. At last, he was finally getting what he wanted!
Melody sensed the heated look in Trent’s eyes and shuddered in alarm. Her head cleared somewhat, and she said grimly, “I’m not feeling too well. I’m going to head home now.”
