Chapter 799
“You don’t have what it takes to bring me down with you!” Lawrence shot Logan a look and smiled mockingly.
He added, “You’re welcome to try if you don’t believe it!”
Logan’s expression tightened. He took a slow, heavy breath and asked, “Why don’t we meet halfway, Mr. Clarkson Senior? I’ll have the Empyrean Sentinel hand over ten billion dollars‘ worth of spirit ore mines to the Legion and withdraw from Javonbury.
“That’s my final offer! You shouldn’t push this any further, Mr. Clarkson Senior!”
Logan wasn’t ready to put his life on the line against Lawrence. He believed his proposal would satiate the Legion for now. He would bide his time. After all, he wasn’t about to surrender Javonbury just like that.
But contrary to Logan’s expectations, Lawrence remained firm in his refusal. “That’s not enough! I’ll let you keep your arm, you’d still have to grovel before Ashton and admit your wrongdoing! That’s the condition!”
but
“You don’t have to push this so far, Mr. Clarkson Senior! You’re well aware that my status prohibits me from such a demeaning apology!” Logan snarled, stifling his fury.
Lawrence fixed his gaze on Logan and taunted, “What standing do you have that you can’t offer a proper apology? Do you really think being the head of the Empyrean Sentinel makes you that big of a deal?
“I’m not going to waste any more time with you! I’ll give you three seconds–you either apologize to Ashton on your knees, or die!”
Lawrence had clearly come to kill today. He believed most people were moved by power, not by virtue, and that nothing inspired fear like the sight of fresh blood.
Logan furrowed his brow deeply as a formidable energy emanated from his person. He was clenching his fists so hard that they let out a cracking noise, and the earth beneath him began to fracture.
He radiated a frightening killing intent that filled the air, giving off an immeasurable sense of violence. “You’d better stop while you’re ahead, Mr. Clarkson Senior! You don’t need to push a man to his limits!”
He was certainly intimidated by Lawrence, but kneeling to apologize was out of the question. He represented the dignity of the Empyrean Sentinel, and he wouldn’t let it slide.
There was a sharp clang as Logan’s and Lawrence’s respective domains collided. Their impact was like two stars crashing into each other, producing a deafening roar and a burst of brilliant sparks.
Their overwhelming energies sent tremors through everyone at Grandcrest Estate, leaving them paralyzed by the display of raw
power.
“Logan truly lives up to being the head of the Empyrean Sentinel! He has such an overwhelming strength that if it actually comes down to a fight with Mr. Clarkson Senior, there’s no telling who would come out on top.”
“Logan’s generation now serves as the pillars of Casoria. Mr. Clarkson Senior clearly intends to assert his dominance to protect Ashton from future threats, but one must wonder if he still possesses the power to suppress an entire generation. He’s not getting any younger, after all!”
“Who could have imagined that a fight to become the ruler of the criminal underworld of Javonbury would escalate into this current situation?”
“I’m also somewhat curious if the Legion truly possesses the power to make Ashton the new ruler of the criminal underworld of Javonbury.”
Logan moved in a flash. His spiritual energy surged forth, leaving nothing but blurred shadows in his wake. He moved with extreme speed and an uncanny technique, granting him the absolute advantage.
“You’re past your prime, Lawrence!” Logan’s eyes flashed with malice. He thought that since Lawrence refused to budge, he

would use this opportunity to see what he was truly made of. He immediately released a torrent of power that formed a vast killing intent, howling and rampaging over Lawrence.
Ashton’s expression shifted, showing his concern. He was worried that Lawrence’s health wouldn’t hold out.
“You’d better pay attention–power is determined by mastery!” Lawrence ascended as though ta
