Chapter 802
“It’s time for you to face your judgement, Mr. Vance!” Ashton declared.
He then turned to Clive, Ivan, Hazel, and Rhonda and said solemnly, “I gave you my word that you would be the ones to end his life, so please step forward and take your revenge!”
Clive and Ivan rushed forward instantly, their eyes bloodshot with rage. Without any hesitation, they drove their daggers deep
into Flint.
Their daggers tore through Flint’s body, his life force diminishing further as blood spilled from his wounds
Hazel and Rhonda approached in a rage, plunging their daggers into his body to vent their fury.
“Y–You all…” Flint gazed upon those who were once his nearest and dearest. He had never imagined that he would eventually meet such a desolate fate–utterly forsaken and betrayed by his own kin.
Flint caught his breath and looked toward Irina, as if to confirm something. He then yelled frantically, “Save me, Master!”
That su entence caused the atmosphere to turn solemn again, as the fact that Flint uttered the word “Master” carried an extraordinary significance.
“What kind of Master is the Sage talking about? Is someone actually pulling the Sage’s strings? Those rumors might be true, after all–despite his status as the ruler of the criminal underworld of Javonbury, the Sage was merely a figurehead, and someone else is controlling Javonbury!”
“I also recall hearing another rumor that the Sage was once nothing more than a common street thug. It was only after catching the eye of a powerful benefactor that his ascent became meteoric, allowing him to seize total dominion over the criminal underworld of Javonbury!”
“If that’s really the case, then the one pulling the strings from the shadows is far too terrifying!”
It was then that someone suddenly asked, “Have any of you heard of the King of Javonbury?”
“What do you mean by King of Javonbury? What’s that supposed to be?”
“I happened to hear a rumor once that the real power behind this city is the King of Javonbury. He apparently controls both the criminal underworld and the establishment, making him the true master of Javonbury.
“If this King of Javonbury actually exists, he should be showing himself now since the Sage is about to die!”
Just as the crowd was whispering amongst themselves, a sudden gale swept through. Unbridled, divine realm energy erupted like a rising tempest, swiftly blanketing the whole of Grandcrest Estate in its wake.
“Huh?” Lawrence’s pupils constricted slightly as a trace of surprise flashed in his eyes. He then grunted, “It’s actually a member of the Lowery family!”
“Save me, Master!” Flint, holding onto what seemed like his last hope, shouted hoarsely as he cast a venomous gaze at Hazel and the others. He vowed that if he survived this day, he would utterly destroy them in the future.
Just a few moments later, a piercing and haughty voice resounded across Grandcrest Estate. “Who claims to be undefeated? Who dares to call themselves invincible?”
In a flash, a man with a godlike appearance appeared next to Flint. His face was chiseled with rugged perfection, his gaze piercing and bright. He possessed a sublime presence that commanded the instant attention of all who beheld him.
“I’m Cassian Lowery. I’m here to pay respects to you, Mr. Clarkson Senior!” Cassian offered a confident smile as he stood with his hands behind his back. He remained composed and dignified even in the presence of Lawrence, showing neither fear nor
arrogance.
“Cassian Lowery?” Lawrence scrutinized the man before him. He was finally meeting the man rumored to be the King of
Choph
Javonbury. “You’re from the Lowery family, the ancient martial arts family?”
Cassian nodded slightly and declared proudly, “I’m the Grand Wanderer of the Lowery family!”
