Upon finding out that Cassian was the Grand Wanderer, Lawrence’s gaze turned icy. He chose to remain silent, though his expression grew increasingly grave.
It turned out that the ancient martial arts family had once again dispatched a Grand Wanderer–a sign that the world was, teetering on the edge of madness.
He couldn’t help but wonder if Ashton had enough time to reach his full potential, if that were truly the case. He instantly felt a growing urgency that he was running out of time.
“W–Who is this?”
Those at Grandcrest Estate wore puzzled expressions, but they all simultaneously felt a terrifying pressure, as if they were in ti presence of an incredibly fearsome high–ranking figure.
“I have failed you and disgraced your name, Master! I beg you to avenge me–kill Ashton, as the criminal underworld of Javonbury belongs solely to you!” Flint prostrated himself, pressing his forehead to the ground in a desperate plea.
Cass
Fanced down at Flint, who was sprawled on the ground. He then planted his foot on Flint’s head and said coldly, “I don’t keep subordinates who are as incompetent and useless as you!”
Having said that, Cassian forcefully stomped his foot down, reducing Flint’s head to a bloody mess.
Those present immediately froze on sight. They found it hard to believe that Flint, the ruler who had dominated the criminal underworld of Javonbury for decades, had actually died just like that.
“It’s Cassian Lowery, King of Javonbury! He’s the one who secretly controls both the criminal and legitimate powers of Javonbury! He is so terrifying that I don’t even dare to look him in the eye!”
“It’s one thing after another! The Sage is dead, but a more formidable King of Javonbury stands in his place. He isn’t going just step aside and let Ashton take over the criminal underworld of Javonbury! It seems like things are about to get ugly in Javonbury again!”
“They say two suns can’t occupy the same sky, yet here in Javonbury, Cassian and Ashton had come face–to–face–a rare and fateful meeting of sovereigns.”
“Ashton lacks the standing to face him. Cassian is the real deal–a divine realm expert. That energy he is emitting is absolutely terrifying! I mean, even the Sage, despite being in the divine realm, isn’t qualified to be compared with Cassian!”
“It isn’t just Cassian’s martial prowess that strikes fear, but it’s the weight of his lineage. after all, even Mr. Clarkson Senior is extremely wary of him!”
“Do those legendary ancient martial arts families truly exist?”
In that instant, murmurs spread through the crowd as people whispered among themselves.
Cassian, to everyone’s astonishment, strode directly toward Ashton with a knowing smile playing on his lips. “Congratulations on becoming the new ruler of the criminal underworld of Javonbury, Ashton!”
Lawrence cocked his brow as he moved to shield Ashton, but Ashton took a deliberate step forward instead, his defiant gaze meeting Cassian’s.
It was as though innumerable sparks flickered, and between the two of them, a domairt formed naturally.
“Thank you,” Ashton stated flatly. He remained utterly fearless, even though he could clearly feel the divine realm energy radiating from Cassian. Instead, a surge of excitement rose from the depths of his soul. Blazing flames burned deep within his eyes as his fighting spirit surged anew.
“You don’t have to thank me. You see, the Sage was my man, and since he died because of you, you owe me an explanation, Ashton!” Cassian’s expression hardened as a terrifying pressure overwhelmed Ashton like a storm
