“You’re going to die at Terminus Cliff,” Ashton said, delivering Cassian’s fate as if passing a death sentence.
Cassian threw his head back and laughed.
“You think you can kill me when you’re just in the semi–divine realm?” he said arrogantly.
“You might be a genius, but I’ve seen plenty of geniuses before. Every one of them ended up serving under me. I’m saying all this because I’m giving you a chance. If you kneel at my feet and pledge your loyalty, I’ll spare your life. I can even offer you an opportunity the Legion could never give you.”
Roxy, who stood nearby in a plain dress that accentuated her figure, watched Ashton with contempt.
“You can’t win this fight,” she said indifferently. “Make your arrangements and leave Javonbury. Once you do that, don’t ever come back.”
He raised a brow and looked at them before speaking coldly.
“I didn’t expect you to be this foolish still. But you only have a short time left. After this battle, all of Javonbury will submit to my will, and there won’t be any place left for you to survive. Everything you have will be destroyed. When that happens, I’ll take
Celia and leave.”
Roxy’s eyes narrowed sharply as she replied, “Ashton, I’ll never let you take Celia away from me.”
“Really?” he answered without hesitation. “You won’t be the one calling the shots.”
He had no interest in continuing the exchange. But before he could turn away, black flames began to coil around his body and formed a dark barrier of light that shielded him.
In an instant, Cassian closed in on him at high speed. He said with a smile, “You dare to speak so arrogantly because you still don’t understand the gap between us. I’ll make you understand what kind of opponent you are facing. I’m someone you will
never be able to reach.”
Suddenly, he raised his arm as the power of the divine realm surged through him. Spiritual energy gathered violently in his palm, and a terrifying beam of force formed in an instant before blasting straight toward Ashton’s heart.
“Let me show you what despair feels like.”
A chill surged through Ashton as an intense sense of danger rose within him. Without hesitation, he clenched his fist and shouted, “Sixfold Draconic Fist!”
The two forces collided violently in midair, freezing the surrounding space for a moment as waves of energy rippled outward.
Ashton was forced to retreat several steps, with blood seeping from between his fingers. Still, he kept his gaze locked on Cassian with a cold intensity as his killing intent rose sharply.
“Do you want to die here today?” he barked.
Cassian looked at him with a hint of surprise before clapping his hands lightly and speaking in a mocking tone.
“Your physical strength isn’t bad. With the help of your bloodline, you barely managed to block that punch. But that is your limit, right? Don’t worry. I have no intention of killing you today, since there is no audience to witness it.
“I only wanted to show you what true strength looks like so that you can abandon any foolish ambitions.”
“Roxy, let’s go,” he said gently.
She nodded. As she walked past Ashton, she stopped and said, “Think carefully about what I told you. Stop going your own way all the time. You need to face reality.”

After saying that, she left with Cassian.
Ashton watched them walk away, a cold smile forming at the corner of his mouth.
“It’s not time to kill you yet…” he muttered.
Battle intent surged in his eyes. He had a strong feeling that Cassian’s arrival was an opportunity.
“It’s time to join Faye and step into the divine realm.”
A surge of excitement filled him.
