Natalie stared fixedly at Ashton before eventually breaking into a smile. “Oh, fine. What else can I do, other than to agree to your terms, Mr. Gray? After all, my life is already in your hands. What kind of pointless resistance am I supposed to resort to?”
With a resigned expression, she asked, “Do we need to sign an agreement, Mr. Gray?”
“That won’t be necessary. If you go back on your word, I’ll just reclaim your life. Any form of written agreement is meaningless,” Ashton confidently replied.
“You really are an extraordinary man, Mr. Gray, but I’m curious. Considering how capable you are, why did Roxy choose to divorce you for someone as ordinary as Calvin?” Natalie wondered, finding the situation quite peculiar.
If a choice had to be made between Ashton and Calvin, anyone with a functioning brain would surely choose Ashton, wouldn’t they?
“It’s because she’s a foolish woman.”
“She is indeed a foolish woman!” Natalie laughed in amusement.
It was then that Natalie was hit with a realization–she didn’t feel the slightest bit of aversion to Ashton. Ever since she met him, he’d exhibited both means and abilities that changed her perception of him.
Most importantly, she found him to be quite an interesting man.
He was clearly attracted to her captivating appearance, but there was no trace of lechery in his expression. On the contrary, there was a kind of appreciation in his gaze that pleased her.
“Can you treat me now, Mr. Gray? This damned parasitic poison has been torturing me, making my life a living hell. I don’t even have anyone to take care of me…” Natalie’s voice became a little coy.
An ordinary man would never be able to withstand the charms of Natalie, an enchantress with a myriad of facets to her. Sooner or later, she’d be the death of him.
However, Ashton’s expression didn’t change at all. He knew it would take more than a day or two to truly win over a woman like Natalie.
“Come over here and lie down,” he said while pointing at the coffee table beside him.
“Huh?” Natalie had a puzzled expression.
“I’m going to give you an acupuncture treatment. I’ll use my inner energy to draw out the parasitic poison in your body. I suspect that there’s probably a parasite growing inside of you. If I don’t intervene in time, your entire body will become a vessel for it,” Ashton warned solemnly.
“You’re not just using this chance to take advantage of me, right?” Natalie shot him a sidelong glance.
“So what if I am?” Ashton asked indifferently.
“If that’s the case, I’d be thrilled!”
Natalie gave a sultry smile, suppressing the embarrassment she felt as she obeyed his instructions and stretched. out across the coffee table.
Ashton didn’t care what she was thinking. He took out a silver needle he’d already prepared and pierced it into her forehead.
Taking a deep breath, he used the Ninefold Arcane Technique to manipulate the needle. With his inner energy as bait, he steadily lured out the parasitic poison from her body, pulling the poison out through the needle and into a

cup on the side.
Drip after drip, the poison soon filled the entire cup, and the silver needle had turned black.
With a flick of his hand, he withdrew the needle.
At the same time, Natalie let out a soft moan before slumping onto the floor. She was drenched in sweat, her body all heated up.
Panting heavily, she glanced at the cup filled with black poison. Her whole body trembled. When she looked back at Ashton, she now did so with a new level of respect.
She’d seen much throughout her life. Even though she didn’t practice the martial path, she knew a thing or two about it. She was aware that only the legendary S–ranked experts could utilize inner energy and manipulate it to their will.
Could it be that Ashton was not only profoundly skilled in medicine but was an S–ranked expert as well?
