Cassian smiled in satisfaction as he spoke with pride. However, he quickly realized that she had not been listening.

Her hands were clenched tightly, and her gaze remained fixed on Ashton. The worry on her face was impossible to conceal.

Cassian’s expression turned cold. He transmitted his voice to George via telepathic communication.

“Don’t hold back.”

“Got it.”

George nodded in response and looked down at Ashton with a faint sigh.

“You’re still young. If you kneel and admit defeat now, you may still have a way out. Do not throw away your future here.”

As soon as he finished speaking, George endured the violent backlash tearing through his body. Light burst from his palm once more as he poured vast amounts of inner and spiritual energy into the divine ability. The hundred descending killing forces grew sharper and carried even more terrifying power.

“George, I have never had the word ‘defeat‘ in my life. I am still waiting for the wedding gift you promised me,” Ashton said with a grin even as a powerful sense of mortal danger surged through him.

He didn’t dare relax for even a moment. Stepping back, he lifted his head and faced the killing intent descending from the divine realm.

After a brief hesitation, he abandoned any thought of defense and instead drew all his inner and spiritual energy together, concentrating it into his eyes.

A deep, shadowed light flared within his dragon eyes. Everything within his sight fell under his perception, including every strand of lethal force contained within the falling, meteor–like attack.

Endless black flames burned in the depths of his eyes as his battle intent surged forward, fierce and unrestrained. His resolve to press ahead without retreat was unmistakable.

The divine ability he had created wasn’t limited to the absolute defence of the Draconic Field. It also included a Draconic Field World rooted in his ocular technique.
