Lawrence’s words struck like thunder, crashing into the Sea of Consciousness of Jaden and the other 325 experts. Every one of them was stunned, unable to believe what they had just witnessed. Their all- out combined attack had failed to break his defense.
They even wondered how strong he was.
When their eyes met, Lawrence’s unfathomable gaze sent a chill down their spines. Even the aggressive momentum they had built moments earlier visibly faltered.
“Scheming vermin from the Empyrean Sentinel and Dominion Vanguard, a pack of stray dogs from Jalun, and ancient martial arts families that hide behind their walls. You think the likes of you can kill me?” Lawrence taunted, his voice ringing across the battlefield.
Jaden and the others‘ expressions darkened instantly. None of them had ever been humiliated like this. But in the next instant, their expressions hardened and their eyes snapped toward Lawrence.
His killing intent erupted and rolled toward them like a blast of searing heat, locking onto every one of
them.
“That old bastard is still alive. Why isn’t he dead yet?”
Jaden cursed as cold sweat beaded on his forehead. The arrogance he had displayed earlier had vanished completely.
At that moment, Lawrence stamped his foot forward while tightening his grip on the Sovereign Silver Spear. Power flowed from his palm into the weapon as his mind resonated with it, and the spear responded instantly.
A sharp metallic cry rang out as the weapon vibrated, sending ripples of force spreading outward in expanding circles with the spear as the center. A chilling brilliance began to bloom along the blade, sweeping away the dull layer of ash that had long covered it.
The weapon seemed to awaken like a slumbering beast opening its eyes after years of silence, looking down upon the world once more.
“Old friend, it’s been a long time since you tasted blood,” Lawrence said with a wild laugh.
In an instant, he and the Sovereign Silver Spear moved as one. As long as the spear stood, so would he.
If it shattered, he would fall with it. The weapon trembled, as if answering its master’s resolve.
“Walk this final road with me,” he murmured.
As soon as the words left his mouth, the spear burst with its sharpest brilliance yet. Killing intent surged into the sky as though the weapon itself were burning away the last of its life.
Lawrence threw back his head and laughed. “Then, let’s begin the slaughter.”
His figure vanished the instant the words fell. He left no afterimage and no trace of movement,

disappearing like a ghost while only faint strands of spiritual energy rippled through the air where he had stood.
“What kind of speed is that?” Jaden and the others cried out as their eyes widened in shock.
Every one of them tensed instantly, their vigilance rising to the highest level.
“Watch out!” Jaden shouted.
The next moment, the Sovereign Silver Spear streaked across the sky and tore through the defensive power of a semi–divine realm expert before he could react. The weapon punched straight through the man’s heart.
Blood poured from the wound as his life force collapsed instantly. Part of that blood was drawn into the spear while the rest slid down its shaft and dripped to the ground.
The entire sequence lasted less than a second. A semi–divine realm expert had been killed in a single
strike.
Everyone who remained on the battlefield stared in stunned silence. Their throats went dry as their hearts hammered in their chests.
