Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 186

Now someone was offering to help Wiona, and he didn’t even think twice before telling Conrad everything. “It’s Molly. That girl from last time. She’s gone missing in the West End.”

“Wiona really cares about her, so she’s determined to get her back.”

“Dr. Monroe pulled some strings for her. That’s probably why they showed up at that underground casino.”

Conrad hung up and immediately dialed Korey. “No matter what it takes, find Wiona.”

Stonehill’s South Side, Ecstasy Club.

Wiona handed over her phone at the entrance. They even scanned her for any other electronics. Only after that did they let her step into the club, which was almost blindingly fancy, sparkling everywhere she looked.

She’d heard stories about this place before. Supposedly, it had every kind of entertainment you could imagine.

But Kyle had always warned her about it, saying it was full of all kinds of people, not all of them good. Fun, maybe, but risky. And since the club’s business was a little shady, Kyle never let her come here with anyone.

Honestly, Wiona had never been interested in places like this anyway. Even when her old friends tried to drag her along, she’d always said no.

The owner was some guy named Schmidt, who had enough connections in Stonehill that the government usually stayed out of his business.

She never thought she’d wind up here. And now Molly had been taken from this very place.

The inside was so over-the-top that even Dr. Monroe couldn’t stop looking everywhere, making little sounds of surprise as they walked.

For Wiona, though, the deeper she went inside, the more uneasy she felt. She could hear screams from behind some of the closed doors—men, women, all sorts. There was laughter, too, but sometimes a door would swing open just enough for her to catch glimpses that made her stomach twist.

A woman on the floor, someone stepping on her.

A man with a face swollen from a beating.

Soon, Wiona and her group were led into a ridiculously luxurious private lounge.

One of Eason’s people went over to talk to the staff. “Our boss called ahead. She’s here to pick someone up.”

Wiona sat on the sofa, watching quietly.

“Mr. Schmidt will do Eason this favor, of course,” one of the staff said, “but there’s a bit of a complication…”

The negotiations dragged on for a while. At last, Eason’s guy came back. “Ms. Morgan, they’ll let the girl go. But they’re refusing to release the other person you asked for.”

So Molly was on the table, but not Adler?

Wiona’s expression didn’t change. “Would you mind calling your boss for me?”

The big guy hesitated, but figured she was just a young woman and the situation was under control. He handed her the phone.

Wiona took it. “Eason? So, tell me, if you commissioned a painting from me, would you accept only half of it? I can’t tell if they are refusing to show you respect, or if your people just can’t do their jobs.”

“Looks like we’re not going to solve this nicely today.”

The big guy’s face turned red. He snatched the phone back.

“Stop!”

“You little brat, how dare you embarrass me to my face? Are you asking for trouble?”

“You—”

His facial muscles twitched with fury.

His friend yanked his arm. “Stop. The call’s still on.”

The big guy froze, then grabbed the phone with both hands, his voice almost cracking. “Boss…”

No one knew what Eason said, but the man hung up with his eyes wet. He wouldn’t even look at Wiona, just wiped his face and stomped off back to his crew, trying to look tough again.

“How dare you try to play me?”

“Our boss said he’d forget about that whole incident with the Schmidt family in the East Side if you just let the people go. Now you want to back out?”

He stormed out, furious. The two skinny guys with him kept glancing over at Wiona, eyes wide with shock.

They were both thinking the same thing. Who the heck is Ms. Morgan? How does she have this much pull? Eason was willing to drop a huge grudge with the Schmidt family just to help her get two people back?

The atmosphere shifted in a second.

Mr. Schmidt himself called down to the club.

A few minutes later, Molly was brought in. They shoved her into the room, and she hit the floor hard.

Wiona shot the men a cold look and called out, “Molly.”
