Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 203

"Jace, let's get a divorce."

Wiona said it with a calm that was almost chilling, like she'd finally managed to pull a thorn out of her throat that had been stuck there for ages. For the first time in a long while, she felt the tiniest hint of relief.

Her icy stare and those blunt words left Jace completely stunned. He just stood there, silent, until he finally found his voice. "Wiona, have you lost your mind?"

"You want to divorce me? Who do you think—"

Before he could finish, Kellen's shaky sob cut through the tension. "Ms. Morgan, please don't do this. You have no idea how much Jace cares about you."

"This is all my fault."

"I don't even know what happened. I suddenly felt so weak and hot, and when I saw Jace, I just... I lost control."

"He already rejected me, Ms. Morgan. If you want to blame someone, blame me."

Kellen was a mess, clutching the bedsheet to her chest, kneeling on the mattress, tears streaming down her face. She looked so fragile, so pitiful, like she was begging for sympathy.

As if a sheet could hide their shamelessness.

Jace had rejected her so hard he looked ready to devour her.

Wiona's eyes lingered on the fresh marks on Kellen's neck and collarbone, tiny bruises and love bites everywhere. She let her gaze drift between the two, her expression full of cold, biting sarcasm.

"He cares about me? Cares so much that he fools around with you right in his own mother's hospital room?"

Jace stepped forward. "You better—"

Before he could even raise his hand, Wiona slapped him, hard.

"Jace, you're the one who messed up. Why should I be the one to swallow my pride?"

"If you want the whole world to know about your affair, then go ahead and shout. Maybe you can get everyone in this hospital to come watch. Let them all see what kind of man the CEO of Salisbury Corporation really is."

Jace held his cheek, his eyes downcast, but it only took him a moment to collect himself. This was definitely not what he'd expected. Wiona showing up out of nowhere had thrown him off completely.

But Kellen's words gave him an idea. Maybe he could twist this, make it all sound like a misunderstanding.

Wiona was still pregnant with his and Kellen's children. He had to calm her down. He couldn't let anything happen to her.

And divorce? Not a chance.

Jace's face changed, a hint of pain creeping into his features. He looked up at Wiona, his eyes full of hurt and wounded pride. "Babe, you're finally here."

"This is all just a huge misunderstanding."

"You don't know what it's been like. While you were gone, Kellen's been running herself ragged here every day, looking after my mom."

"She wasn't feeling well just now. I think someone must have set her up."

"If you hadn't walked in when you did, I might have fallen into their trap."

"Thank God you came. If you hadn't, there'd be no way to clear my name."

"I don't blame you for leaving. I know you've always thought me and Kellen are together, but you've seen it now. Even with her right here, I still choose you."

Jace was so busy trying to smooth things over, he didn't even notice Kellen's face going stiff behind him. She knew he was just saying whatever he thought would calm Wiona down, but she couldn't help digging her fingers into her palms, jealousy burning inside her.

...

"Now that her background is out in the open, she's nothing but some bastard. Even the Morgan family doesn't want her."

...

"I can't tell you how happy that makes me."

...

"What does she have to compete with you now?"

...

"Kellen, you're the only one for me. You're the moon in my sky..."

...

Then, a long stretch of breathy, unmistakably intimate sounds filled the room. Wiona paused the recording. "Want to hear the rest?"

"Jace, if you hate me so much, if you love your precious girl so much, then just sign the divorce papers."

Jace whipped around to stare at Kellen.

Kellen never dreamed Wiona would have a recording. She hadn't expected her to play it now, of all times.

She was done making excuses. "It wasn't me... I don't know how this happened..."
