Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 302

“Remember, this is Mr. Sullivan showing mercy. He’s holding back because of your family ties, and he doesn’t want to make things harder for Ms. Morgan. But if you push him, next time, it won’t just be your walls coming down. It’ll be the whole Morgan family.”

Korey turned on his heel and walked out. When Kyle finally made it outside, the Sullivan convoy was already gone, nothing left but the faint glow of taillights disappearing down the road. All the gifts that had blocked half the street earlier were gone too. Not a single thing left, everything swept away.

The Morgan family courtyard was stripped bare. The wall was in ruins, dust still swirling in the air, the whole yard a mess. Jasmine took one look and collapsed. Madison caught her, shouting, “Mom! Mom, wake up!”

Cole just stood there, his face completely drained of color, like every shred of dignity had been ripped away along with the wall. “How could this happen…”

Kyle felt a bitter taste rising in his throat. He clenched his fists, bent over, and coughed so hard that blood spattered onto the ground. Madison could only stare, frozen in shock.

Meanwhile, Wiona sat in Conrad’s car, but even as the Morgan house faded into the distance, her mind felt stuck somewhere far behind. Her heart was all tangled up, like she was drifting through a dream. Was this really how it ended? Was this the final break?

She’d told herself a hundred times not to care anymore, but her chest ached, a deep, throbbing hurt that wouldn’t go away.

Then, suddenly, a warm cup of milk appeared in her hands.

“Don’t worry,” Conrad said quietly. “I won’t push things too far. I’ll leave the Morgans some dignity. Even if, honestly, I’d rather just wipe them out right now.”

He opened a thermal container and pulled out breakfast, still warm. “The chef got up at two in the morning to make this for you. If I hadn’t been worried about waking you, I would’ve come for you last night. Wasn’t that enough of a show of respect for them?”

“Why are you so good to me?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. “Is it because I’m carrying your babies? Or… is it because I’m W? And why did you show up at the Morgan house pretending to propose? Was it just to help me out, or am I just imagining things? Aren’t we just… co-parents, bound by a contract?”

She looked straight into his eyes, searching for a sign, anything that would tell her what he was really thinking. She knew she was crossing a line, that she probably shouldn’t be asking. She knew that once some things were said out loud, there was no going back. Their fragile connection would either snap for good… or become something completely different. But she wanted to know.

Conrad didn’t turn away. He leaned in, so close that if he moved just the tiniest bit, his lips would brush against her nose. He stopped there, holding her gaze, his eyes tracing the red at the corners of hers, seeing himself reflected in their trembling depths. His heart was pounding, just as wild as hers.

Neither of them looked away. For a second, everything else faded.

His voice was rough, low. “I wanted to tell you yesterday.” He paused, steadying himself. “Ms. Morgan, I don’t just want to be the father of your children. I want to be your husband. So… let’s get married.”
