Kaden was waiting for Madison outside. The moment she finally appeared, he and the others hurried over to meet her.
Giana looked pretty rough, but as soon as Conrad’s men let her go, her brothers rushed to her side. Right then, Madison, who had just helped Wiona, felt like a ray of hope for the whole Simpson family. Even Giana let go of her usual attitude and quickly joined the group to ask, “How are they?”
The Simpson family didn’t waste any time. Kaden stepped forward and said, “Mr. Sullivan, don’t worry. We’ll start treating your two men right away. If anything happens to them, we’ll take full responsibility.” He motioned for the men to be carried inside. “Come on, let’s get them inside.”
Peter and his team looked to Conrad. When he nodded, they sent a few people to help bring Nikolai and Drake into the house.
Giana lingered at the back, scowling. Before Conrad could say a word, she pointed to Amaya, who was still lying on the ground. “Call the police,” she said. “She started all this and dragged our entire family into this mess. The police can investigate and get to the bottom of it. Does that count as an explanation for your family?”
“She’s right.”
A deep, commanding voice echoed across the room. “Call the police. Let them handle what happened today. Whether this girl did all this on her own or someone else was behind her, let the authorities decide.”
The crowd parted as an elderly man with wgrey hite hair, leaning on a cane and supported by his eldest son, Bill, made his way forward.
“Father!” The heads of the Simpson family all bowed respectfully.
The rest of the family and apprentices followed, greeting him in unison. “Mr. Simpson.”
